The next morning

Mark slept like a baby that night, he didn’t wake up once all night.

Waking up in the morning, Mark felt like his head on was on fire. The hangover was kicking in immediately.

Matt was already gone, he was catching up with a couple of mates in the city.

Cassidy was in the middle of putting some clothes on when Mark woke up. She had put on one of Matt’s hoodies with a pair of his loose track pants, just to save her from dressing back into what she wore last night.

“You’re awake, how you feeling?” she said noticing Mark was sitting up in his bed.

“Not great, not great at all. I think I need to go get some Panadol or something.”

Cassidy came over and rested her hand on his forehead, “Naw you poor baby, you should spend the rest of the day resting in bed.”

Mark loved this side to her. Cassidy could be considered a little complex at times, sometimes she came across as a self-centred whiny bitch and other times she was the most caring and loving people you could meet.

“I hope I didn’t ruin your night or anything.”

Cassidy just smiled, “Nah, you didn’t don’t worry. Anyways, I’ve got to go but you take care Mark.”

She leaned in and gave him a kiss on his forehead before leaving him alone in the dorm room.

Mark sighed. Things still were a little rocky between Matt and Cassidy so maybe in time, Mark would have a proper chance with her.

If not, the harder it’ll get for Mark to stay loyal to his roommate because boy did he want to fuck that girl.
