A Scholar from the west

You are a young scholar from the west. Your travel bag is packed to the brim with books and writing tools. When you heard of the enlightening libraries and societies of the Sun Kingdom, you could barely resist following your curiosity. You packed your bags and booked a trip on the first ship that came into port. Perhaps an ill-timed ventured given the temperamental tides that hampered your journey, but you have arrived all the same.

Before you can find the nearest library and read yourself into a stupor, you must procure lodgings from the local populace! You will be here for some time after all, luckily the locals accept any form of currency since so many ships travel through. They’ll always have a use for precious metals as well.

There are many options. Traditional inns will take you for a large payment, or perhaps you could try your luck at one of the scholarly institutions that dot the city instead. They may take you for free in return for your labour, which would kill two birds with one stone as they say.
