Emily, a sucessfull start-up entrepreneur (until now)

"Ok, that is enough, you are fired" Emily said.

"But..."

"Also we will take legal steps against you" Anastasia added.

"But I did not do it" said the accountant. "I just noticed it."

Emily sighed. It could not have been somebody else. This morning all her private bank accounts, the bank accounts of her co-founder Anastasia and the bank accounts of the firm have been emptied. The only person with access to all bank accounts -aside from her and Anastasia - were two accountants, one of which is on a trip during his holidays. Since both Anastasia's and her account were plundered, and the loss of all liquidity poses an immidiate threat to the business, both worked the last two years so hard on, it was very unlikely that Anastasia did anything. The 100.000 stolen were a big loss but by no means comparable to the 4.500.000 their company was worth... unless it ceased to exist. And since the lack of liquidity could mean, that they were not able to pay the interest on the loans that they took to found the company or to pay rent and wages for the building and emplyees, the situation looked pretty dire. It would be a huge reputation loss, for her tech firm, that was specialised to make websites more beautiful and thus more appealing to customers. At first they started with small businesses, but they had so much success that in the near future, they would sign a contract to make an insurance company look more attractive on the web. A scandal like this would immideatly cancel the development of this contract and her firm would lose at least half its market value. The next batch of payments was due in one week and until then it would be hard to get the money, especially this much money. She could have sold some of her shares, but then some minority holder would have some control over their company and she would have to inform and justify every step of her business decisions, especially if this minority was hold by the competition. It also would become hard to get a credit over this sum without showing her books where 100.000 went missing. So the situation looked pretty dire.

Emily called the security and told them to apprehend Bob (the accountant) and take him to the police. He had a house, so she should be able to get her money back, soon.

6 days later...

Emily was ****. Every credit request was denied, after she refused to show her accounting books, just as anticipated. And it took her too long to make the decision, to sell a part of her share. She would not get the 100.000 in time. Also because she requested money with so many credit institutes and did not show the books, suspicion about her business came up, reducing the marked value by one third. Tomorrow she would be ruined.

As Emily sighed and prepared to explain her employees that she could not pay on time, the secretary came in.

"Miss Morgan, your appointment is here."

"I don't have an appointment" Emily responded.

"Your calendar says otherwise", your secretary comments.

Emily looks up her calendar. The secretary is right. There is an appointment. It says "Alice". Who is Alice? Who made that appointment?

"Let her in."

"Yes, Miss Morgan."

The secretary left and Alice came in.

"Hello Miss... ?" Emily said, before seh relized, that she doesN't know the surname.

"Just Alice is fine", the blonde responded.
