The two cultists plunge their torches into braziers on either side of the natural stone throne, lighting them before taking a step back.

You hear a rumbling, feel a charge in the air, and the coming of an immense magical presence. There's a mighty flash of lightning, and then you see him, seated on the throne.

He's a vast and imposing figure, his blood red skin weathered and pitted by centuries of life, black horns, like that of a ram. He leans against his throne with a confident malice.

The Spider and The Shark bow to him. He accepts their offering of respect, then waves them back to the table. They scurry backwards, finding their seats, less fearsome warriors than cowed infants before their king.

Arinum, the king of all demons. The Allsire. The very first king on Motania, if your mother's claims were true. Looking on him now, you're inclined to believe her.

“My children.” Arinum begins, his voice of a low and terrible register. “I'm thrilled to see so many of you here tonight. Family members both familiar, and new.” On this, Arinum's gaze passes over you. You can practically feel it, like a tongue of flame or a beam of magical energy. You're sure the silver mask on your face isn't obscuring an inch of your face, at least from him.

“We're family.” the demon king states. “Though we hail from different lands, different planes, one thing unites us all: My blood.”

“I've gathered you all here tonight that we might celebrate our bond. Grow closer to one another, and affirm our desire for the conquest of this world. But to do this, we must truly know our family.”

Arinum rises from his throne, thundering closer to you all.

“I want you to take off your masks, and reveal your identities to everyone present. You first, Spider.” He points a gnarled, powerful finger, on which resides a silver ring, set with a black stone, at the cultist on your far right.
