Chapter 6 by UnrulyDogboy UnrulyDogboy

Mateo said

Mateo: You claim to be so smart, but you behave like a dumb bitch.

All the lights in the study lounge went out. Because it was an interior room, it was pitch black. A crackling blue light flared up around Jake.

The flares of light concentrated around Jake's head. Several bolts arced from Jake to you and Mateo. They felt like jolts of electricity searing into your head, and they hurt like hell. Mateo started to scream. One especially powerful bolt lifted you and Mateo off your feet; it felt like you hung in the air for several minutes. The intensity of the light blinded you. When your vision returned, the crazy light show had ended, and the regular rooms lights were back on. Jake lay curled up on the floor, and Mateo was kneeling next to you, holding his head like he was suffering from a migraine.

"Adam, what was that?"

"A freak electrical surge?"

"Bullshit. What did you do?"

You were freaked out. Mateo was right, this was something you did, but you didn't know what or how you did it.

"Sorry, I gotta get out of here."

You collected your stuff and left. You stopped off at your dorm room and picked up your notebook and gym bag. You walked around campus to clear your head; it helped. What happened back in the dorm was behind you, no reason it should ruin the rest of your day. You sat on a bench, took out your psych book, and continued with the weekly reading. You found the reading assignment very easy. In fact, you kept reading until you finished the entire book. Took just over 15 minutes to read around 300 pages.

This course is easier than I thought.

The professor had mentioned a big paper due at the end of the course, based on what you just read, you had a pretty good thesis for your paper.

You checked the time and decided to grab something to eat and head to your early evening class. As you walked, you drafted the outline for your psych paper in your head.

After practice tonight, I should be able to knock out a ten-page first draft of the article.

Where to?
