The mission

"Agent Romanoff will explain," Nick Fury says. He then walks past Black Widow, pats her on the shoulder before leaning over to her ear to whisper something to her. You can't hear what he says, but Black Widow smiles at the end of it and Fury exits the container through a side door.

"Get in the car," Black Widow says to you. She gets in on the driver's side. **** to be ordered around but having ****, you get into the car next to the Avenger. You had just closed the door on your side when the car is already backing up and down a ramp that has appeared at the back of the container, and you have to shield your eyes from the sudden sunlight. In a matter of seconds, you and Black Widow are back on the open road again and you look around. It's just a long stretch of road with no other cars around apart from the SUV you're in and the massive black freight truck you had just exited. Shifting gears, Black Widow accelerates and quickly overtakes the truck and speeds off.

"So... where are we going? What's the mission? What do I have to do? Is it just us?" you ask in rapid succession. However, Black Widow doesn't answer at all and there's not even any sign on her face that she acknowledges you. You stare at her for a minute, seeing if you can get anything out of her, but her eyes remain focused on the road, which might be a good thing considering the fact that she's going way over the speed limit and she's turned onto a highway with a lot more cars around.

You give up trying to get anything out of Black Widow and you just sit back and close your eyes.

"We're here," Black Widow says, and you open your eyes. You weren't intending to fall asleep, but you must have dozed off. The sky is about as bright as before, so you couldn't have been asleep for long. The car has stopped moving and you're in a parking structure, looking out at some office building.

"Where's here?" you ask.

Again, Black Widow ignores your question. Instead, she pulls out a tablet and shows you blueprints on the screen. They are blueprints of the office building you see.

"Your objective is here," she says, pointing at a room on the 4th floor of the blueprints. "In this room, there is a computer that is not connected to any network or the internet. You're going to plug this flash drive in, let the program do its work, and then bring the flash drive back here. Got it?"

"So, I'm stealing information?" you ask.

Black Widow checks her watch. "You have about a 20 minute window to get in and out. There shouldn't be anyone in the room, but if there is, do what you need to."

"Okay... but just so you know, I can't teleport in there if I can't picture what the room looks like. Do you have a picture?" you ask.

For the first time, Black Widow actually responds to 1 of your questions. "No. It's a secure facility. Figure it out. Fury picked you for this because you can do more than teleport."

"Wouldn't this be a better job for Ant Man or someone else? And what will you be doing?"

"I'm back up," Black Widow says simply.

"So... if I run into trouble, you'll come get me?"

"You should get going," Black Widow says, back to ignoring your questions and she hands you the flash drive. You take 1 last look at the blueprints and commit it to memory, before you exit the car. You look at the outside of the office building and it seems some sort of government facility from the people entering and leaving the building in black suits.

Taking a few seconds to devise a plan, you activate your invisibility ring and teleport to the front entrance of the building. From there, it's easy to sneak past the heavily-armed security guards and get inside. After that, you find the stairs and head up to the 4th floor. The room you need to get into is easy to find, but the door is secured by a keypad and you're stumped on what to do next. You're tempted to just use your super strength to smash through the door, but that will probably raise attention to you and jeopardize the mission. You're about to teleport back to Black Widow to ask her for help, when a man in a black suit walks by and you activate your mind control ring and whisper a command into his ear to open the door for you. Unfortunately, the man doesn't know the code and can't help you, so you just tell him to go back to what he was doing before. It takes you a couple more tries as you run around invisible, looking for someone with access to the room. It's the 3rd person you try, a older woman in a black suit, who has the code and she opens the door for you and you send her away.

As Black Widow said, there is nobody in the room. It's a strange room and there is nothing else in it except for a computer on a plain table. There's not even a chair to sit in front of the computer. Nonetheless, you get on with the mission and plug the flash drive in. There looks to be something pre-programmed on the flash drive as you watch it copy files from the computer. It takes about 2 minutes to complete, and when it's done, the computer screen suddenly goes black and then a tiny plume of smoke appears from it's hard drive. The flash drive must also have had a program to erase the computer as well. Pocketing the flash drive, you teleport back into the SUV where Black Widow is waiting. Still invisible, you don't say anything at first, but Black Widow's senses are keen and she holds out her palm to you. Stunned, you deactivate your invisibility ring and hand her the flash drive.

"How did you know I was back?" you ask.

"You breathe too loud. Were there any issues?" Black Widow says, plugging the flash drive into her tablet and looking through the files you had just stolen.

"Nope. So that's it? We're good?"

Black Widow looks at you and smirks. "That was the first part," she says.
