“Oh honey, you’d really promise all of that?” she said, turning to him with big, tearful eyes.

“Of course, anything for you.”

Anna grabbed Mike’s hands and leant in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

“You really are the best boyfriend,” she said, then dropped his hands and headed off down the hallway, “I’m headed over to one of the study rooms in the library now to transcribe the recording from Saturday.”

“I’ll come with you then, I wasn’t up to much anyway,” Mike said, starting after her.

“It’s probably better if I just do it on my own so I don’t get distracted, I really need to get a good mark for this if I want to get into a good uni.”

“Oh ok then, I’ll just come and sit outside the room and do some of my maths homework.”

“Uh sure, that’ll be fine I guess,” she said, still a little apprehensive.

“If you don’t want me too…”

“No! That’s ok, you can do that,” she said hurriedly, smiling and reaching her hand out for his. They made their way over to the library hand in hand, and the guilt and worry Mike had been feeling slowly left him.

Mike got himself set up at a desk outside the study room and began working away at his maths homework to the sound of Anna typing away on her laptop. After about half an hour he thought he heard some heavy breathing coming from the room. He also realised that he didn’t think he had heard any typing coming from the room for a little while either. Not wanting to bother Anna when he was already on thin ice, he decided he should leave her alone. He was just getting started on his maths again when he heard a stifled gasp from Anna. He was trying to think what she could be up to in their when he heard her quickly packing her stuff away. She came out of the room with a red face and a slight sparkle of sweat.
