Chapter 13 by Progenitor Progenitor

How does she take the... Threat?

Not Well

"Better to be on land than in the water." The witch said as she walked away for a moment. "Maybe someday you'll be the hero that returns Lake Hylia to the Zoras. Until then though..."

Mita's assurance that Kessvok and his Cobrapeople would be in their best behavior did little for their actual mood. They listened to the girl's words and visibly grew angrier as they sat there.

"A guest, especially a naked guest who was in chains not an hour gone, should hold her tongue." Mita said. She laid a stack of clothes in the table before Netu, including a lamellar cuirass and a waterskin. She stood a spear against the wall nearby. "Don't insult my hospitality by acting like an ass."

Kessvok had stood already and was motioning to his Cobras.

"It is fine, Mita. We can see our culture isn't welcomed here. We shall be going."

And without so much as a look back, they were gone.

"Do you know how much effort it takes to charm a snake?" Mita said. She was smiling, happy, but obviously perturbed by what had happened. "A lot. I understand that you're new here in the Haunted Woods, or so you think, but you're still a Zora. No matter what happens to us, remember where you come from."
