Chapter 39

Uh oh...
Stick to the plan!
Digit flinched at the new voices and reflexively dropped to hide behind the fountain. Was there no end to the crap she had to deal with? She was overwhelmed enough already!
She took a deep breath and tried to steady her nerves, though had little success. Her heart was pounding, adrenaline continuing to pour into her veins as the situation escalated ever further. With one more breath, she got the nerve to poke her head back over the rim of the fountain.
She spotted the faces of the reptiles lurking behind the cabin and got an immediate "bad news" vibe from them. Not that she needed to rely on her gut impression, as the lewd things they were saying about her were offputting enough.
More pressingly, however, she also noticed that the spider had made a startling amount of progress in the brief time she had taken her eyes off of it! It had already made it over to the broken window and was pushing broken glass aside in preparation for entering. Shit!
Digit didn't have time to make a new plan. She'd just have to work with the one she already had! She looked at the crude doll she'd managed to fold the cloth into. It was still very clearly just a piece of cloth with four twists approximating limbs, but hopefully it would be good enough to fool the spider.
Wasting no more time, she took flight towards the cabin, staying low and keeping the cabin between herself and the kobolds as best she could. Once she was as close as she dared get without risking entering web territory, she shot upwards, flinging the doll at a spot on the wall right behind the spider as she passed by it.
The doll arced through the air and came to a quick halt a few inches away from the spider. A mid-air web had intercepted it before it could quite reach the wall Digit had been aiming for, but hopefully it would still be close enough for the spider to take notice...
Continuing upward, Digit alighted carefully atop the roof and peered stealthily back down at the porch. She hoped that not only would the spider take the bait, but that it would also lure the kobolds to the spider. While a pregnant woman and a diminutive fairy weren't the best opponents for it, three fully-functioning kobolds should be able to handle it without too much issue.
Then all she'd have to do is figure out a way to deal with the kobolds. Great...
(1 action point: fly up to the cabin roof)
(1 action point: throw doll at web)
(Ranged Combat roll for throwing doll: 12)
Can the doll's allure grant Hana the privacy she needs to finish birthing?

IMPREGNATAR
A KINKY GAME OF SURVIVAL AND IMPREGNATION
An interactive survival story that's like a combination of D&D, Dark Souls, and Zelda, YOU play and write as a character in the video game world of IMPREGNATAR. Your character awakens, spawned into the middle of nowhere in a game world with little memory of who they are, how they got there, and all but the faintest of survival assets. Post by post they will explore their surroundings hoping to gain skills, level up, and survive by avoiding any Bad End scenarios with a horrific (and probably kinky) fate. Each character gets one chance, but meeting a Bad End results in being permanently Lost. In the land of IMPREGNATAR where everything wants to breed you, do you have the skills (and the luck) to survive? Contact me on Discord @Progenitor Rex#0397 for more information!
