It was a strange sensation, it felt liked you were blinking in slow-motion, the blowing snow vanishing only to be replaced by a wooden bridge? as you heard the sound of voices in the distance coming closer.

You realized it was Matt and Emily, this was where the game introduced Mike after he jumped out from the bridge, scaring the couple. However, now you had the reins, and even limited as you may be by your knowledge of the extents of your power, you could still feel it bubbling just below the surface.

And so you were already faced with your first point of possible deviation. You knew the story was going to end differently, after all, you were more than the player, you were the Player. You already planned to stop Jessica , which in turn would cut off Mike initial trip to the Sanatorium, with ripples already being planned, why don't have some real fun, and rather than choose the third option when presented, simply create it?

It was a rather simple problem, the game never really touched on what caused Mike and Emily's breakup, so it wouldn't take much to fill in those blanks, and enjoy the ripples as they came.
