The first thing you felt was cold, the low howl of wind and snow audible around you as you popped your neck, your mind already alive with trains of thought.

Should you appear as yourself, injecting yourself into the story, and subsequently requiring you to modify the ingrained history of the characters, or possess somebody's place, making far more subtler changes to the story line as you pleased?

The latter you decided not because it required less work, per say, but because it required less work, that is to say... modification of history was going to occur regardless, but you were too lazy to go through the process of character creation for a pet project that wouldn't matter ten hours from now.

Subsequently, this meant you now had to choose a character to occupy. Alternatively, you could play it like the player, and swap between characters as the scene required, but that would eventually require you to be a female, and while the idea of exploring lesbianism was tempting, you loved your dick. So that also limited your choices to the males.

The choice to be Josh was immediately tempting since he was the puppeteer for the first half of the game, which suited you fine, but... the guy was a headcase, and you didn't feel like dealing with that much weight yet.

Alternatively, Chris seemed to have his head on straight, and had the inside track on Ashley but, honestly you couldn't think of any reason to not go with him, other than his personality wouldn't mesh well with yours, and you already felt like you'd spent an hour on this decision so you moved on.

Mike and Matt, both had the same advantage, in that both had a girlfriend coming into the game. So they each had to be considered as a package deal. Rather than starting an internal debate of which girl was hotter, you found the decision made rather easily, Mike had a scripted psuedo-sex scene with Jessica, Emily still seemed to have a thing for him, as opposed to Jessica having anything for Matt, and Matt's fate was left wholly into Emily's hands, Mike was the master of his own destiny. Not to mention you realized as an after thought you could conceivably start a year prior when the prank occurred, which meant Matt had no girlfriend, while Mike did.

With that thought, you decided that you should probably decide when you'd like to appear.

It really was quite simple, the entire game hinged on Hannah and Beth 'dying' in those mines, plus regardless of if you saved them, you'd have to sit through another year of high school? You didn't actually know, you seemed to remember that some of the characters were in college a year later, so that would suggested they'd already graduated, but you equally seemed to remember that some were still in high school. Regardless, you were here to 'play' Until dawn, not High School Simulator 2020, now with Covid-19 patch!
