Chapter 33 by SkyDreamer SkyDreamer

How long does she avoid the spider?

As long as she can

Digit stood frozen, blood cold in her veins, as she stared up at the cocktula. She wasn't fond of spiders at the best of times; some of them could make webs strong enough to trap fairies, at least for a few seconds. It was usually possible to struggle out, and most spiders wouldn't approach a creature larger than themselves even if it was caught.

Such reassurances would not apply here. This monster was about the size of a common housecat, which made it definitively larger than the small grey-skinned fairy stood naked on the porch beneath it. It was dark and chunky, with eerie accents of blues & purples. And creepiest of all, the abdomen was very oddly shaped; it almost resembled the head of a standard penis. Digit hoped she was just imagining that last part.

She had been lucky to spot its web. Shimmering droplets of liquid hung suspended in mid-air; likely a product of the juicy fuck-session which had just concluded. Honestly, it was amazing that neither of them had tripped all of the webs while they were going at it. She had to assume that they'd at least hit some of them, but that the spider just didn't care about creatures of their size. Statistically speaking, that had to be it... right?

Digit took a few steps back off the porch, carefully retracing her steps where she knew no webs were. She'd been lucky to spot what she had; in the dark cabin, there would undoubtedly be more webs, dry and unhighlighted. There might even be more spiders! She shuddered. She definitely couldn't go through with her plan now... right?

She gazed forlornly at the haversack lying within the entranceway. It was so close! She had spotted the cabin from across the clearing and come to the conclusion that it must contain treasures that she would need. This assumption stemmed from the theory which she had concocted after waking up naked with a scrambled memory: that the academy which she attended had set this whole thing up as a surprise exam. From there it had followed that the two people fucking near where she woke up were participating in a scripted sequence, testing to see if the fairy could infiltrate the cabin while they were still distracted.

That theory had been somewhat shaken once the troll left. Wouldn't it have made more sense for him to stick around to guard the cabin? That would have punished Digit for not making it in time, preventing her from entering.

She flew back to the fountain, what she considered to be a reasonably safe distance, and clutched at her head. Did she need to recalculate again? What were the facts, what theories did they support, and what ideas did they debunk? Focus, Digit!

Another groan came from the porch. Digit looked up and saw the wolf-girl's belly continue to writhe. Why is she pregnant? How does that fit in with any of this? Was she just already pregnant at school, and they threw her into this test anyway?

...Or am I wrong about everything?

Digit hugged herself as dark realities ran through her mind. What if this all had no purpose? Or worse, an evil purpose? What had she been sent here for?!
