Eat some Corn

I decided I would have some corn. I moved into a corn field trying to find a etable stalk. I had eaten plenty of corn in my life but I had never eaten it right off the plant. I hope it was alright to eat one like that. As I searched, I heard rustling in the field like something was moving. As I looked towards the sound, I saw nothing and the rustling stopped. Must have been the wind.

After a few more minutes of searching I found what appeared to be eatable corn. I pulled it free from the stalk and chucked it. It was a perfect head of corn. I took a big bite of it and was almost instantly satisfied. Then I heard the rustling again. I looked towards the sound again and it stopped. I noticed a cross in that direction....was that there before? Wait....wasn't there a scarecrow on that thing.

Before I could realize what was happening, I felt a rope slip around my body and be pulled tight. I was thing yanked backwards into the arms of the scarecrow!!! "HEY!! GET OF OF ME YOU BAG OF HAY!!!!!" I struggled to get away but he just wrapped his arm around me and pulled me off the ground. I was then carried away under his arm. The most I could do kick my legs in a pathetic attempt to escape.

He carried me over to the cross and began to tie me to it. I struggled the whole time but he was just too strong. How could something made of cloth and straw be so tough. He first tied my torso to the main vertical pole before pulling my arms out and binding them to horizontal pole. For good measure, he also tied my ankles to the vertical poles. I tugged at my bonds but it was no good. I was stuck. The scarecrow took a step back and looked at me. It held the corn I was eating up and wagged it's finger at me. I guess it wasn't too happy about me eating his corn. He then walked behind me. I craned my neck to look back at him. He put his back to the cross and as he did, more ropes looped around it and me. I didn't think I was going to get away before but now there was no way to get loose. I was tied to a cross in the middle of a field with a scarecrow to my back.
