He looks over the reading making several noises like hmm and aah before he finally pulls it out and walks over to Amber and does the same tests, as far as you can tell. Eventually, apparently satisfied, he sets the device on the table and steps over to his workbench. ?Well, I have to admit I was curious what was going on when you walked in the door, and I now see what is going on.? As he says that you are startled to see his assistant step back out, pointing a submachine gun at the two of you. ?By my scan of the two of you I can tell that both of you have had extensive alteration done to your base DNA using biogenic agents I admit I am not entirely familiar with. I also see that you have an internal computer, memory, optics, and weapon links that seem to be nearly, if not identical to those I installed into my friend Lynx some time ago. However there are three problems with your story. The first is that you do not have a nerve enhancing boost, but rather a biogenetically enhanced chemical that serves a similar function. While I admit I am not absolutely positive that there is no way to remove the nerve enhancement, or several other enhancements I did not see on the scan, this just confirms the second problem. You see Lynx was here last night after being severely burned in an explosion and badly in need of healing, even having to have his arm reattached.?

?I admit before my scan I did entertain the notion that the person that came in here badly burned and scarred might not really be Lynx but was someone looking to claim his rep and steal his identity, but I didn?t tell you the third problem. You see I am not a complete idiot. My friend Lynx was an elf, and my scan confirmed that you are unquestionably human. It also confirmed that while neither of you are really female as your outward appearance would suggest, both of you share the same DNA and were clearly born twins, making your story ridiculous beyond anything even the stupidest person would believe.? He then points at the door and places his hand on what looks like a small dart gun and says, ?Now get out of my office before I loose my temper.?

You quickly think over your options,

Try to convince him and risk getting shot.

Leave and loose your only contact with medical skill.

Or give him a believeable lie that can at least keep him as a contact.
