Chapter 9 by derheld777
What will happen as you reach the coven? How will the witches greet you?
Stinky but surprisingly friendly
As you and Vemaho follow the monstrosity stomping through the forest, the disgusting stink it gives off makes you shudder and gag, even though you’ve been subjected to a fair share of stink over your three days of traveling with a monster girl. Sure, Vemaho’s feet stink awfully, cheesy and slightly vinegary, and the stench of her sweat that surrounds her combines with the sweet, flowery aroma of her pheromones for a truly disgusting stench. But you have gotten used to it just enough for it to be bearable over the last days. The stench that the creature in front of you gives off is on an entirely different level, smelling like cheese but combined with the putrid stench of rotten leaves and fungus, which you have never smelled in this intensity. The mix of these different odors makes for a very disgusting aroma that makes your toenails curl. Yet you grit your teeth and follow the alraune who is skipping after the monstrosity she called a toegunk golem. You do not like it, but figure you have come too far to just walk out at this point.
Unlike you, Vemaho seems completely unafraid of the hulking golem. She even gets closer to it and sniffs happily, inhaling the stench of the toegunk it consists of and sighing happily. You break up in cold sweat as you see this, but your fear is unnecessary as the golem does not react to her. Even as your horse makes a loud noise of discomfort, the golem shows no reaction. It continues to stomp through the forest, an axe as large as your upper body and several chopped trees under its arms, oblivious to anything but what you assume to be the witches’ orders, as Vemaho has called it ‘a servant witches create for heavy labor’.
You are so focused on not gagging at the stench and sight of the disgusting creature that you only notice Vemaho has stopped as you bump into her soft, sweaty backside. Both of you yelp in surprise and you apologize, but Vemaho waves it off, instead replying: “We are near the coven borders, mistress. Someone should come to see us now. I think it should be…” She is cut off by the sound of rustling leaves as a… someone… appears out of the bushes before you.
The first thing you notice about her is the cloud of brownish foot smell that surrounds her. The cheesy stench is certainly strong, but you find it easier to bear than the stench of the toegunk golem. Even Vemaho’s odor is worse than hers because it’s cheesy and nothing else. Then you see that it is a female figure who appeared before you, one that looks humanoid, but something is wrong about it. Only after staring for a couple seconds you realize the figure consists entirely of dirty, worn socks.
How socks can be formed into a humanoid figure you don’t know, but they do, and quite a beautiful one at that. Fine curves, shapely legs, but her face seems cold and motionless, despite you making out facial features like eyes, nose and a mouth. Then she moves her head to look at the two of you, and you notice what seems off about her, aside from the fact that she consists of freaking socks: Her face flows into the rest of her body like goo, taking a moment to form sharp contours again. You watch as she stares at the odd pair in front of her, a human in clothes, horse on a leash behind her, sweaty but head raised in confidence, and a monster girl, obviously arriving together, as Vemaho moves in to embrace the sock girl like an old friend.
“Nakna, ikstattue ruenly tanah”, she says and plants a kiss onto the other figure’s sock face. Then she turns to you and says: “Nakna is another servant of the witches, one they use for communication with visitors. She is a sock elemental, created from a pile of cheesy socks. Nakna, we’ve come to see the witches. We have something quite interesting for them and also a request for a potion”, she says as she turns back towards the sock elemental. “You see, Anastasya here is actually not my ****, but the other way round. I am the one who has surrendered to her feet, and I believe the witches should be interested in this.”
The sock elemental turns to you and checks you out once more, or so you think as her eyes do not actually move. Eventually, she starts to speak. “A human of free will has come here before, but never has a monster girl speak like this. Surrender to human arms, we have seen, but to human feet? We doubt.” Her voice is grating to the ears and sounds like spoken through a filter. Also her mouth does not move as she speaks, but the clouds of smell that surround her move differently. Yet you can somehow understand her and answer: “I could not believe it either, but it happened and now Vemaho is all over me. This is also why we came here, we want to ask the witches why I could impress a monster girl with my human scent. As for the potion, I don’t know about that yet.”
The sock girl nods (no lip movement but a nod?) and replies: “For whatever reason you may be here, my mistresses have foreseen a human and a monster girl arrive to their coven. I believe you be the ones and invite to see mistresses.” Her speech pattern is off, like she is not used to speaking the human language, which might be the reason why Vemaho greeted her in another language. She turns and walks through the bushes she came from, pushing the branches away but hardly making any step noise on the forest ground. Even Vemaho seems noisy in comparison, not to mention you or your horse that seems a bit more willing to follow you now that the hulking toegunk golem is out of sight. Even the stench around has cleared up, now more dominated by the cheesy smell of old socks that the sock elemental gives off, but you find it much more bearable. Perhaps it is because Vemaho smells similar, or perhaps you are just fond of cheese.
After just a few meters the surroundings change visibly. While you were previously walking through a wild grown forest, now you are on a handmade path that leads onto a large clearing. As you step out of the forest, you see a large wooden house similar to a human farmstead, with a barn-like side building and a chimney made from bricks. Smoke rises from it, and you are briefly overcome with nostalgia as the whole building reminds you of your home, but you snap out of it as you breathe in the most repulsive stench you have smelled on your journey so far. It is not even a stench that you’d associate with monster girls, no foot smell or body odor, but just plain bad and unlike anything you have ever smelled before. You retch, but are able to stop yourself from spitting out your breakfast. To your surprise, even Vemaho does not look appreciative of the smell in the air, instead showing an unhappy expression on her green face.
“You wait here. I will call for mistress.”, the sock elemental says and moves towards the entrance to the farmstead. Vemaho notices you are struggling to keep your calm and moves closer to pat your back. You ask her why she also seems to dislike the smell in the air, but she shakes her head and replies: “I do like smelly odors, but none like this. This is no foot smell or natural stench, this is the stench of magic gone wrong, and that doesn’t smell good at all, it just smells bad! I just hope the witches are still in a good mood, otherwise we might have to give up on getting anything useful today, mistress.”
You nod and notice that the unpleasant smell is slowly clearing out, being replaced by the familiar stench of cheesy feet and toegunk, as you can see the golem behind what you assume to be a barn, swinging a large ax and probably chopping the trees it carried earlier. You keep looking around and notice details about the farmstead that you definitely never saw in a human village, making it quite clear that you are at a witches’ coven. The wooden bar above the door has an inverted pentagram carved into it and the wood itself is stained black with undefined gunk that looks like strange runes. To top it off, the roof ridge reminds you of a raptor bird about to take flight. You also notice something similar to a herb garden, only instead of kitchen herbs, poisonous plants seem to be cultivated there. One particular plant catches your eye, one with a comically large purple flower that emits a visible smell – surely a stink of some sorts, you think, but can’t tell as above all lies a cloud of cloying stench. Luckily for you, the awful smell that lay over the clearing when you arrived is starting to clear up more and more, but the remaining odor is not exactly pleasant, either.
As you wait for the sock elemental to come back, you get more and more nervous at the thought of facing five old monstrous witches who enjoy having humans smell their stinky feet, and start sweating again. Vemaho notices this and moves in to comfort you. “Don’t worry, mistress”, she purrs and moves close to your side, not just to pat your shoulder to comfort you, but also to lift your arm and take a long sniff of your sweaty armpit. “If they hadn’t wanted to see us, Nakna would not have led us here, so they are clearly expecting us. They will be very impressed with your foot smell, you’ve let it marinate within your leather boos for two days and sweated a lot, they should be deliciously stinky!”
Vemaho stops and reaches up to playfully lick a drop of sweat off your cheek, then continues: “And if they aren’t impressed, you will get to smell and lick the yummy feet of witch monster girls who have cultivated their foot stench for decades! Probably even used magic to enhance it! Wouldn’t that be nice, mistress? I’m getting wet just thinking about it! Mmmmhhh, but I’m also getting wet at the thought of your delicious feet! I wonder what stinky heights your smell has reached from the last two days! I’m getting impatient, I hope someone comes soon so I get to smell mistress’ stinky feet soon!”
The thought of being **** to lick the witches’ feet has you breaking out into even more cold sweat, as that is exactly what you don’t want, you went on your quest to make sure such a thing never happens again. In fact, you are almost willing to call this off, and Vemahos seductive voice and her sniffing is not helping either. Yet before you can make up your mind the door opens back up. You pull your arm back down and steady yourself for being invited into the farmstead by the sock girl Nakna, but the one coming out of the door is not the sock elemental. Instead, another woman comes out of the building, stops a couple steps away from you and looks at you curiously, giving you time to take in the image in front of you.
Never have you seen a creature that combines stunning beauty and disgusting ugliness quite like the woman in front of you. You wouldn’t call her a monster girl as she is looking older than Vemaho, more like a woman in her forties than her early twenties. But then again, monster girls are magical beings who live and age slower than humans, so she might be anywhere from 40 to 400 years as far as you know. She is a bit taller than you are, though that might be due to her high heeled boots, and has a shapely figure clad in a shiny, black dress that clings to her skin and shows off her curves. Her boots are made from the same material as her dress is and are most definitely hiding disgustingly stinky feet, so you are glad they are trapped inside the boots. A pointed black hat with a brim and a purple ribbon completes her attire, and shiny black hair comes out beneath it. Her slender arms and legs and a mysterious smile complete the beautiful part of her.
The ugly part is just as impressive as her beautiful part. Her skin is green like Vemaho’s, however not the pretty forest green of your companion, but rather a sickly light green that reminds you of disgusting bile. Her nose is large, crooked like a fishing hook and has a large wart right on top of it, her ears are pointed and scarred, her hands are gnarled like those of a much older woman and end up in sharp, pointed, claw-like nails of an unnatural yellowish color. But the worst part about her are her eyes. Slightly angled, blackish-brown, with yellowed eyeballs, they have a cruel intelligence in them as she stares you down like she is looking at an object she is about to cut open or boil alive, just to see what happens. Her thin, red lips that she now pulls up into a cruel smirk don’t help either. All in all, she fits the name witch monster woman pretty well. You stare back into her intimidating eyes and wait for her to say something, wondering if you should greet her first, but before you can decide she starts talking.
“Our sock **** has told us a human has come to our domain. I see you are a human, but you have a pretty strong smell, and despite being with a monster girl, you stand upright instead of covering beneath her stinky feet. Very peculiar. Tell me, little human girl, why have you come to see us? You have three minutes to convince me not to make you eat my toejam for the rest of your pathetic life.” As Vemaho stirs and wants to protest, the witch waves at her impatiently and says: “I want to hear it from the human, not you.” You take a deep, stink-filled breath and say: “When I fought with this alraune here, she got to smell my armpits and went crazy over it. And when she smelled my feet afterwards, she became submissive to them. We both are really confused by this. Vemaho mentioned she knew you and that you were owing her a small favor, so we came here to ask you if you could tell us why the monster girl is after the human’s feet and not the other way around. Vemaho also suggested me getting a potion from you, but that’s just a random idea, not what we are actually here for.”
The witch looks unconvinced, but Vemaho jumps up and exclaims: “Oh come on, Tamaria, don’t be like that! We just want to know what mistress’s amazing foot smell might be, and maybe a futa potion for mistress! That’s not much, I know you are always looking for new smells and ways to make your feet smell stronger! Mistress even wore her boots for two days straight to make sure her lovely feet smell nice and strong for you! So come on, be nicer to mistress, I know you want to know what she smells like!”
The witch laughs as she hears Vemaho’ words and even though it still sounds like cackling, the air around her has changed and feels much less perilous to you than before. “Vemaho, you are just as bubbly as ever, aren’t you? In fact, Orellanna has told us you would arrive today, so we were expecting you.” She then turns to you and smiles in a much friendlier way as she says: “So, human, we will see what we can tell you about your mysterious feet. Come in, so we can take a proper smell of you.” With this, she turns and walks back towards the farmstead. You are stunned by her sudden shift in attitude, not to mention how much prettier she looks after replying to Vemaho’s words, but remain on your guard. Is entering the witches’ farmstead really a good idea?
Do you enter the farmstead? What will happen inside?
