It's another day in Musutafu, Japan. You are Ren Yamada, an ordinary young man living in the city that just so happens to have U.A., the academy that boasts the best Heroics education in Japan. It sits atop a forested hill that overlooks Musutafu, but it's little more than just a facility your hometown is famous for than a place actually relevant to you. You're just a guy trying to get by... mostly by not touching any women and trying not to get your heart racing, panicked, or surprised. After all, your Quirk makes you a public menace...

You've managed to keep your Quirk largely under wraps. Any women you accidentally touch think it's just an accident, and the few times it's ever triggered on a more **** scale, well... You just pretended not to know what happened. You've been lucky so far in that regard...

As you're waiting for the crosswalk to change so you can cross the street, you see someone run by, dressed in a black sweater and medical mask. You don't think much of it, but then you're shoved out of the way by a scantily-clad woman in red.

"Sorry!" she calls, stopping only briefly to adjust her top.

It seems, even in the brief moment you made contact with her, your Quirk still activated, if only at the lowest setting, causing her a wardrobe malfunction. You sigh, staring at the street. Thanks to the involuntary nature of your Quirk, it's not really been easy to get close to people... You can at least make physical contact with men without your Quirk going off, so you do have a few friends at the gaming cafe, Random. But what few girls are regulars at Random think you're emotionally distant or don't like them. Ironically, this has made some of them curious about you. Must be that mysterious air this action unintentionally gives off. But even if you wanted to get closer to them, just a tap and... Oops, ENF!

The crosswalk changes and you sigh. Best get to work. It's nice, because you can chat up people without having to touch them. While Pro Heroes chasing Villains isn't all that uncommon in Musutafu, you hope nothing else happens on your way to work...
