Chapter 27 by ThomasMoro

What happens next?

Gypsies, vamps and thieves

The beast that used to be Lawrence Talbot had no idea how long the gypsy village had been in its current location but he attacked it all the same. And after his experience on the Orient Express and the disappointment he felt plunging off the train into the river below, it felt so good to just chase innocent young gypsy girls and tear off their clothing. At least here there was no one to interfere with his idea of fun.

Or so he thought until he tore off the dress of a light-haired woman -- the wolf was colorblind so he had no concept of hair color beyond light and dark -- and the woman promptly snarled at him.

Lawrence snarled back and tore off one of the woman's stockings.

At which point the woman shrieked and changed her face into a distinctly nonhuman shape.

If a wolf could yawn, Lawrence would have done so. Did this woman honestly think she could scare a werewolf?

Then the woman got out a gun. This seemed a bit more serious but then she fired it at him and Lawrence realized that none of the bullets in the gun were silver.

So he continued to tear off the woman's clothes until a tall, brooding man appeared.

"Just don't stand there, dear boy," said the light-headed woman. "Give me a hand."

At which point the tall man politely stood back and applauded the ongoing removal of the light-haired woman's clothing.

"Very funny, Angelus," said the woman. "Now stop fooling around and kill this wolf."

The man called Angelus started to move forward and help out, only to be knocked out by the club of an exceptionally brave gypsy man.

As the gypsy man and some friends dragged away the tall, brooding man, Lawrence proceeded with the stripping of the light-haired woman, not stopping until the woman was totally devoid of clothing.

Then Lawrence moved on to another woman. A dark-haired gypsy woman who took one look at the wolf and said, "You don't want to strip me. You want to go to -- er -- Castle Dracula. There are lots of women there. And a lot of them like wolves. You just have to go a long way thataway."

The woman pointed off toward the east and for a while, Lawrence was tempted to check out her statement. But nah! Right then stripping the girls in the gypsy village seemed like a lot more fun...
