Peter didn't know much about how his powers worked or why he even had them, but he did know a few things.

First, he knew how he got here. He had led a perfectly normal life as the employee of a cable company until the night he had gone up to the satellite dish to repair it. While he was up there, he and the dish were struck by lightning and when he awoke, he found himself in an episode of Charmed. Since then, Peter had been jumping from television show to television show, with no end to it or way home in sight.

Second, he knew there were several rules he had figured while he was in his situation:

1: The shows he visited were real worlds and the people in them were real, not just actors playing characters.

2: The only way for Peter to leave one show and move to another was to touch a the screen of a television that was turned on.

3: Peter had no control over where his jumps would take him. In fact, it usually took a while for him to figure out where he was, unless he ran into a character he knew right away.

4: Anything he was wearing or holding, or anything holding him, would be transported with him when he touches a t.v. screen. This includes people, although Peter had never tried to move a character from one show to another, he had once accidently carried a vampire into the next show, so he assumed it would work for humans too.

5: Never make the jump naked. You never know when you'll appear in the middle of a crowd.

Of course, there are always exceptions to every rule. For instance, making the jump naked was acceptable if you were being chased by a trigger-happy mobster.

But back to our story...

Peter appeared in a bright flash with his bundle of clothes in his hands. His eyes took a moment to adjust to the light, before he could see where he had landed this time.
