Chapter 2: Questions
Questions
"Friendship is power."
The next day, July woke with a start. Stopping her at times "annoying" alarm. She picked up her phone it read 8:04 AM. She sent a quick text to her best friend June Jenison. She typed her message, "Hey, it's me June! Let's me for coffee at Starbucks around 12:00 if you can. Text me back." The funny thing was that their first names were each from a month on the calendar.
She got dressed and went down stairs. Her mother wasn't home. Probably working again she thought. July, made her way to fridge for milk setting it on the white marble counter. Opening one of the oak cabinet doors getting out the granola and a bowl. She poured the granola and then milk into then bowl. She grabbed a banana and a knife. She took the peel off. Cutting the banana into small pieces putting with her granola and milk. Her meal was ready.
As she sat down at the table to eat her phone buzzed. She checked it seeing a text from June, "Yes I can meet. What up?"
She texted back, "I can explain when we meet." She finished her meal. Putting her dishes in the dishwasher. She made her way to the door. Getting her shoes on. She left to meet her friend.
They sat outside July having an ice coffee and June with a regular black coffee. "You know my shows?"
"Yeah, I know, you have told me about them," June replied she then took a sip of her coffee. June was pretty for sure. Light brown hair in a ponytail, round head, perfect Korean girl face, flawless skin, average breasts, and her legs were killer.
"Well, I got the weirdest message. From an unknown user. Saying...God loves me," July explained, June was silent at first so July continued. "I mean what the hell?! Who does that person think they're to say that! Why would they say that?"
June calmly took another sip of her coffee, "Yes, that is weird," she put her coffee down. "You know that I am a Christian. So I have two things to say. From my Christian perspective first. If your mom still offering to take you church I would suggest go with her and you will find out more about God loving you. But now. My advice from me speaking. Don't worry about it and just go about your day as if it never happened. I mean if you don't care about it just forget."
July nodded, hearing out her friend. "Thanks, June your the best."
"Aw, July, don't say that."
July hugged her friend. She was going to forget this message.
