Another Show

"Making a big decision takes huge amounts of conviction."

She was supposed to put on another show. It was a Saturday night she usually did her shows every Saturday but tonight she sat there thinking. Thinking about one thing. God love you. She could get it out of her head, "Fuck."

She heard the front door open. Her mom was home. She sat up from her bed and made her way down stairs. She saw her mom hang up her jacket her mom turned seeing her. "I thought you would be asleep or online on some social media site."

"I can't sleep Mom," July said. Silence between them grew. She didn't have the best relationship with her religious...Well, Christian mom. Especially when she told her mom that she was agnostic. Breaking the silence July spoke up again, "Mom I would like to go to church."

Her mom had a surprised look. Then she started crying. "I had never thought you would say such a thing." This was probably something special for her religious parent July thought.

"Yes, Mom, I am going to give God or Jesus one day. I am going to give Jesus tomorrow to show up and if he does then I am in...If he does I'll change. If he doesn't I am going to continue to live without him."
