Push the Red Button

I figured the best way inside would be to convince Darkness to just let me in. I thought which button I should push. Conventional wisdom told me push the green button but I could help but think that that's what Darkness would have wanted me think. So the red button must be what will get his attention.

I pushed the red button and heard a buzzing sound from the speaker. The floor beneath me dropped and I fell through the bridge and down into the moute! I failed my arms and legs, screaming as I fell. Suddenly I came to a stop as my cape snagged on a branch. Wasn't really a stroke of luck as I was now getting choked by my own cape! I reached up to undo it but thankfully it broke before I could. I fell a little further into the water at the bottom of the moute. The current carried me down stream until I hit my head on something. Everything went black.
