Vanessa trips

Vanessa walked around in her heels, carrying a glass of water, wishing to stay sober for what was about to happen.

She approached Lauren and started to talk with her. “Hey, Lauren, enjoying the party?” she asked.

“Yeah,” Lauren said. “Thank you again for the outfit. Here I was beginning to think you were a total bitch.”

Vanessa shook her head and smiled. “I know I haven’t necessarily treated you the best, but you’re my sister at the end of the day. And sisters stick up for each other,” Vanessa said. “It would be bad if either one of us sabotaged or took the other down. We’re women and we need to be an example of what women can be.”

Lauren smiled and nodded. “Yeah,” then hid a guilty look as she realized she was planning on sabotaging Vanessa. “Look, Van. I’m sorry we have our differences. I know I’ve been a bitch as well,” Lauren said. “I just... had insecurities to deal with. I hope you understand. Can we call a truce?”

Vanessa smiled and nodded, and held her hand out to shake.

Lauren took her hand and shook it, but as she did, she pulled Vanessa toward her slightly which threw her off balance, and the glass of water she was holding, spilled on Lauren’s dress.

Vanessa’s eyes widened in surprise. “I’m so sorry!” She yelled. “I didn’t mean to spill my water. You just caught me off balance.”

Everyone turned to look at the two standing there.
