Chapter 8 by HYjaCK HYjaCK

What do you do?

Get reading!

Plucking a book out of the top box, you begin to read it. The book itself was tattered and torn, with its leather cover appearing incredibly ancient, but the words inside were definitely readable. It was in English.

It was strange reading such a book in English, originally believing it to be in Latin or a similarly old language, but it was in plain old English. The book described the labyrinth in great detail, explaining its many traps and dangers. One particular part of the journal stood out to you:

'The dangers of this dungeon are truly gruesome. If you're here, be careful of the pixies. I'm not sure what they use, but they blow a powder in your face that obliterates your mind and being. My companion, Terrence H. All, was ambushed by these creatures in front of me. Within seconds, he was stunned and taken away. This was three days ago and, for me at least, I hope he's dead.'

The harrowing tone of this segment haunts you. The way it describes these mystical beings fills you with an **** sense of anxiety. You gulp and put the book down, trembling slightly as you turn around and check your surroundings. Whilst the paranoia made you feel as though you were being watched, you found that there was nothing with you. The creatures that had taken the writer's companion, the pixies, definitely seemed to be something to be wary of. Luckily, however, these pixies hadn't managed to hunt you down yet.

For the next few hours, you find yourself with some new knowledge. There are rooms corresponding to certain symbols, and when each room is entered, a creature that bears a similarity to the symbol emerges from a pool of tar in the centre.

What do you do next?
