Chapter 4
by Impregmaniac
How does that work?
It is bit of a Story.
"I was with Mr. Gottlieb and several others when he first struck out to found the commune," she mused, tucking her hand under chin and surveying what was before her. "Staked my claim on this land and made a decent harvest the next year. Not too bad for a Woman on her own, eh?"
"Indeed. But where do your... farm hands come in to this?" I asked.
"I'm getting there, Mr. McKay, I'm getting there." she replied, wagging her finger at me. I merely shrugged. "Come the next harvest, I found myself in need of assistance, and Fortune being what it is, Anthony had joined us and was seeking employment. So I hired him on and by the Spring thaw, we had already married." She smiled at the memory and sighed softly. "But, as the farm grew, it became very taxing for the two of us, so we took on Ian to help. And... though I loved Anthony, I started to develop feelings for Ian as well."
"And Anthony was alright with that?"
"Quite the contrary. The day he found out, they both went to bed with bruised knuckles and bloodied noses." she smirked and shook her head."So the next day, we all marched down to Mr. Gottlieb's home to air our grievances. But he, in his strange fashion and after several days of arguments, had managed to persuade us that since Madsin is a place where Love of all kinds are to co-exist peacefully, that it would not be impossible for one person to be married to several others. And since Anthony and Ian both loved me, and I loved them both, the three of us agreed that we would... come to an arrangement that satisfied all parties."
"I see..." I replied, raising an eyebrow at her. I know of Polygamy, but it is usually between one Man and several Women. "And was it the same with Roland?"
"No actually!" she perked up, her voice lifting a bit. "He came to me, with the intent to marry me." My head cocked forwards and my brows narrowed. "Yes, he did. And what an interesting conversation that was! I won't bore you with details, but the gist of it is that he had to do our most menial and laborious chores for a month, and if he still intended to marry me, my other husbands would allow him to court me, and... well he eventually succeeded."
"Fascinating, Mrs. Nesbeth," I nodded. "And are you intending to take anymore husbands?"
"It depends on who will come along, Mr. McKay. And please, call me Diane," she smiled.
Chuckling awkwardly, I declined. "Mrs. Nesbeth, you've already told me how you've managed the farm duties with your husbands, but how do you manage your husbands in your...wifely duties?"
She narrowed her eyes at me and looked me up and down, as if she was inspecting an animal for market, before that cat-like smirk returned. "Is the question you are trying to ask me, Mr. McKay, 'How do my husbands like to fuck?'"
Was it?

Madosin.
A voyeur's tale.
The journals of Devon Mckay, the only outsider to ever enter and leave the commune of Madosin, have been found. And what stories they hold. Cover image credited to https://pixabay.com/photos/still-life-candle-book-vintage-5347677/
