Who picked up the phone or does something else happen?

Clothing Store Manager, Diane

"Huh, I wonder whose phone is this?" Diane said bending over picking up the phone in question. She glanced at the phone to see if she recognized it, but to no avail. "Hmmm, I guess I'll ask Kyle or Trisha when they start their shifts today if its one of theirs." It was still about 4 hours or so until either of them showed up for their shift, so Diane left the phone in a drawer in the breakroom.

"Well better start preparing the cash registers for today." she said unenthusiasticly. As she went from register to register she swore she heard footsteps, but thought it must've been her mind playing tricks on her. Unbeknownst to her however, those sounds belonged to pairs of shoes that were playing footsies with one another around the store. "Well that's all taken care of, I guess I should check the aisles to see if there's anything on the floor." she said before searching.

After walking all around the store she saw that it was devoid of any misplaced clothing. "Wow, this might be the first time the whole store is neatly organized." she said actually surprised. Suddenly a blue turtleneck fell off its hanger. "Huh, thats weird." she said walking up to place the turtleneck back on the hanger.

"There you go." she said placing it back. Suddenly a pair of shorts nearby fell off a stack on a shelf. "Hmmm strange." Diane said raising an eyebrow. Just then a bold white long sleeve caressed Diane's ass cheek as she bent over to pick up the shorts. "Oh!" Diane gasped startled at the touch. The long sleeve quickly got back to its stationary position before she could notice. Diane then looked around to see the culprit but saw no one there. "This is exactly why I hate morning shifts...I need more sleep." she said quickly putting the shorts back on the shelf. The long sleeve that touched her then high-fived another one nearby.

As her shift went on, more shenanigans continued with her being none the wiser of the clothes being alive. "I swear someone is playing tricks on me...Oh, its time for my break already, I guess I'll go do that." Diane said abandoning the thought. As she went to the breakroom she then saw Trisha already there waiting for her shift to start. "Oh Trisha! I didn't hear you come in!" Diane said. "Yeah, just got here a couple minutes ago. How was opening?" "Boring as always, but I swear today was different." "How so?" "You ever feel when you're alone that you're not really alone?" "No, why are you saying this place is haunted?" "Pffffft no, just weird things were happening during my shift, but I can't be too sure on what it was." "Sounds like you need sleep." "Probably, anyways I found a phone here when I opened up, is it yours by any chance?" Diane said bringing out the phone.

"Hmmm no this isn't mine, did you ask Kyle?" "No, actually I was..." "Trisha, don't you think Diane is such a b--eautiful person for giving us a shift this early in the day?" Kyle said barely catching himself. "Hello Kyle." Diane said glaring at him while Trisha was trying not to laugh. "Hello boss." Kyle said sheepishly. "Kyle, by any chance is this your phone?" she said showing it to him. "No, not mine. Got mine right here in my pocket." "Hmmm I wonder whose it is then." Diane said inspecting it. "Have you looked through it for a name or something." Kyle and Trisha said. "I don't think I should." Diane said with it in her hand. "What's the worst that could happen?" Kyle said. "Yeah, worst thing is you find some embarrassing photos or something and you can use it for ransom for the person's phone." Trisha said.

"That's actually really messed up." Kyle said. "Well that's what I would do anyways." Trisha said. *Ding ding* "Speaking of which, looks like we're on the clock. Come on, Kyle." "Yeah, well see ya later boss." Kyle said leaving the breakroom with Trisha. "Hmmmm...I guess a little peek won't hurt?" Diane said.

Diane made some coffee first before putting in some cream and sugar and mixing it with a red stirring straw. "Well, I guess I'll take a look inside." She then unlocked the phone and noticed it was on the recording of James. "A recording?" Diane's curiosity got the better of her and she listened to the recording. "Attrivus Attentum!" the recording said. "A-what? Sounds like abracadabra or something." she said. She then played the recording again to make sure she didn't mishear anything. "Attrivus Attentum." she said unconsciously waving her red stirring straw as a wand at herself as she said it. "What was this person saying this for anyways?" she wondered to herself finishing her coffee. Suddenly the two top buttons of her work shirt unbuttoned themselves. "Huh, must've shrunk in the wash or you girls are getting bigger again." she said laughing and throwing away her coffee cup while leaving the breakroom.
