Run for the closet

You dart past the stall and quickly get into the closet. You swiftly but silently close the door. You hear footsteps nearing and stay frozen in place. The voice of Mr. Minchest echoes into the closet, as you hear him say “We need to find that bitch! No one can know about our secret!” You remain silent as you hear a voice reply “Her friend is fully processed, and the rest of her class is in the process.” You let out a small gasp. They’re holding your class, but most importantly, Penelope hostage! “Did you hear that?” Mr. Minchest says. You hold still, realizing your gasp may have given you up. “Never mind.” Mr. Minchest dismisses, and you are immeasurably relieved. You stay in the closet for a couple more minutes. Finally, you get over your nerve and cowardly side telling you to hide for all eternity. You crack open the door, and take a peek. There is no one on the right of the door, so you turn and look through the hinges, just to see a corridor devoid of people on the left. You exit the closet and start making your was down the corridor when you remember that Mr. Minchest said something about keeping your class and Penelope here. Now the question is, do you you for your own safety to flee, or do you try to save the others?
