Chat with Niki.

You step across the room, and she sits down on her bed with a creak. She pats the area beside her, gesturing you to join, and you do just that. This is certainly not the first time you've been this close to Niki, but it's still something special to be sitting so close beside her, both of you dressed in nothing but your sleeping clothes. You can see faint colour start to form on her face. After a period of silence, she speaks up.

"We've been through a lot so far, Kyle. Remember when we first met? It feels like it was ages ago, but it hasn't been all that long, I guess."

"Yeah. You tried to get me to sneak you food from a place that gave you the boot."

"You don't have to bring that part up... but that wasn't the most embarrassing part. Then we ran into Fang and that guy I thought was the victim."

"And then Fang had some fun."

"I remember you specifically not stepping in to save me!"

"I don't think it was just her having fun."

She starts to blush further. "Y-You're the absolute worst!"

"So you're telling me your special mark that grants you extra strength couldn't get you away from someone scrawny and almost half your size?"

Unsure of how to respond, she freezes up. She then resorts to the only thing she knows when trapped in a humiliating situation.

"Shut up," she says.
