Campground

I followed Angela’s wide hips out of the Smoak family’s car, and looked around. It was a gorgeous field, with natural springs around, plenty of shrubbery for privacy, and Cassidy came up beside you and laced your fingers together.

“So, where are we setting up our tent?” Angela asked with a smile. Due to an odd number of people, Natalie had just shoved Angela in with me and Cassidy, so now I had to share a tent with the HOT blond stepsister of my girlfriend.

“By the water.” Cassidy pointed, and I grabbed a tent from Natalie’s trunk and carried it over. We started setting up quite efficiently, and the rest of the Smoaks clustered around. Julia and Hank set up their tent a bit off to the left, and Michelle and Riley were off to the right. I ducked inside the tent, and laid out the rather small sleeping bag. I tested the solid dirt floor.

“I can just take the ground.” I shrugged. Angela and Cassidy both shook their heads.

“We can just share. It’ll be a little tight, but we can all fit.” Cassidy suggested naively. I **** a smile.

“Sounds good.” I said, and Angela’s eyes were dancing.

“Hey.” Gavin said, walking up.

“Hey, man. I didn’t see you on the list.” I grinned, and Gavin sat beside me on the log I was sitting at in the middle of the forest.

“I snuck aboard with my new girlfriend.” Gavin smirked.

“Yeah? Who?” I challenged.

“Me.” a soft voice said, and I turned to see Leia Baker, the first girl I’d met at the complex, and my biggest mistake.

“Hey, Leia.” I grinned, and the bronze-skinned girl sat on Gavin’s other side. You leave the two to chat while you head back to the campsite.
