Supergirl flew into the building, and inside she finds a backpack in the middle of the lobby, a quick look with her x-ray vision confirms to her that this is the bomb. “I found it, it’s in the lobby like you said” Kara says into the earpiece, “what do I need to do?” The voice of Johnson, the head of the bomb squad, fills her ear as he speaks “you need to gently open that bag Supergirl” he tells her, “gently.”

“I understand” Kara quickly says, but a low whirring sound no human could hear causes her to look away from the backpack and toward an empty corner. She raises an eyebrow then looks up at the security camera. “This building has been evacuated right?” Kara asks. Johnson quickly speaks to her through the earpiece, “yes, it’s empty we made sure” he tells her, confirming to her that the building is empty, though she quickly scans the building for any one as he speaks with her x-ray vision. “I looked around with my x-ray vision and it looks like that’s right, but I think someone from the outside has access to the security c—“

Suddenly Kara hears a beeping sound that makes her hear skip a beat. She looks over at the back back and opens her mouth to tell the bomb squad outside that the bomb is about to go off but it is too late. Suddenly the bomb explodes, and Kara is surrounded with fire. A normal human would have been disintegrated with nothing left but ash, if not at least pushed back and sent flying through the air. But Kara just holds up her arms and instinctively covers her eyes as the bomb explodes.

Luckily the blast itself is not very large, and there is no threat to any of the police or anyone else outside the building. The blast was large enough to cause some structural damage, meaning that in any second the building will fall. Kara herself is unharmed, though she is more than a little taken aback by the very sudden explosion. “Johnson, I—“ Kara tries to speak into the earpiece but she then realizes that it was completely destroyed when the bomb exploded. Then she begins to realize something else, she feels a bit colder than she did before the bomb had went off despite the sudden heat from the bomb itself...
