Can't let her go

Watching Ashley head to the door, you realize that if she leaves, it's over. She's not bluffing about the DNA test or the judge, which she knows will go her way. In a hurry, you climb over the conference room table and lunge at Ashley, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her back.

Ashley looks alarmed and she rubs the part of her arm where you had grabbed her while staring at your rings. You didn't need to use your super strength ring against her skinny frame. If you had, you probably would have accidentally broken a few of her bones. Before she can scream, you close the distance between the 2 of you and you cup your hand over her mouth. Now you're close enough to smell her scent, which is a pleasant and normal vanilla aroma. You're more than a head taller than Ashley and you have her pinned between you and the table. There's no way she can get out from your grip, but of course, you're in the private conference room of a law firm and sooner or later, someone will come in.

You're thinking about what to do, when you remember something. Earlier today, while Abby was reviewing with you all of Nigel's estate and wealth that he had left to you, you discovered that he had a few properties scattered around the world in secluded areas in case he ever needed to hide. There's a particular place you're thinking of, a tiny house in the middle of nowhere in North Dakota, in the middle of acres of land which Nigel owned. So, you activate your teleportation ring and picture the tiny home, bringing you and Ashley to it.

Once there, you let go of Ashley and she spins around, taking in her new surroundings. The walls are all made of glass and the forest all around can be seen.

"Where the hell are we?!?" Ashley says, losing her composure in front of you for the first time today. She pulls out her phone from a pocket well-hidden in her skirt and she looks bewildered. You look at your own phone and see that there's no reception out here. You're not sure how, but it looks like there's fully functioning water and electricity, and there's a pantry full of canned food and other things that will last for ages.

"I'll admit, you're really, really smart. But I bet you didn't think this would happen, did you?" you say. Ashley may have negated 3 of your rings with her genius, but at the end of the day, you're not too dumb yourself and you turned the situation around into your advantage.

Ashley swallows a big mouthful of air as she tries to calm herself, but her heaving chest is evidence that you're thrown her off her game. You smile and take a seat on a couch in the tiny home, admiring how nice and peaceful the place is. You can see the allure of the place although there doesn't appear to be any sign that Nigel had ever been here while he was alive.

"So, are you ready to renegotiate?" you ask.
