IR Day 3 - Go on with your day

Worry slows you down on the field as much as a broken leg would... You have almost no enthusiasm for soccer and all you think about is Ingrid.

She said she wasn't mad at you, but you know you made her uncomfortable last night and you feel bad. Now she has heat exhaustion and it is kind of your fault. You wanted to help her with her stress, but stressed her out even more than she was before.

You hope there is a way to make things right. You don't bother going to the dining hall for lunch with the other girls. You go back to the infirmary, where Ana is looking after Ingrid.

"She is fine," the Egyptian coach assures you. "I will let her go for dinner."

You ask Ana to ask Ingrid if she wants to see you. Ana finds that weird, but does it, then lets you in and leaves to let you speak in private.

"I wanted to tell you I'm really sorry about yesterday. It was selfish," you say. It feels good to tell her the truth.

"You were trying to help me."

It's sweet that she thinks so.

"No." You point at your shorts. "I get hot easy. I just wanted to be with you."

"Why?"

What kind of question is that? Just when you thought Ingrid couldn't get any cuter.

"Because you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen." You are telling a lot of truths today.

She turns bright red. Great... now you're stressing her out again.

"I won't tell anyone your secret. And I'll try not to be weird. You should just rest."

You leave the infirmary before you can confess to anything else, but you feel so much better.

You quickly eat some lunch and go to the lecture, where Lara, one of the new girls, impresses everyone with her knowledge. After that is a practice game, but telling the truth made you light on your feet, and you play very well. You score more goals than Lara and Adella!

The girls treat you like a hero! You head for the locker room, planning to get your things and go back to the cabin to shower in private, but Ana catches you.

"You," she says.

"Me?"

"You are Ingrid's friend, are you not?"

"I guess."

"It is hot. Very hot. She should not participate in the overnight camping," Ana tells you.

"Oh. That makes sense." You forgot all about that.

"She must stay, but she should not be alone. Angela is needed to supervise the others. Will you stay?"

She wants you to keep an eye on Ingrid at the cabin tonight while the other girls camp.

Of course you want to... especially if Ingrid is not upset with you. But maybe it's not a good idea to be alone with her.

Ana will probably stay with the two of you if you ask her. Can you handle it alone? Or do you need her help?
