Chapter 12

How has Jessica's day been going?
Pretty good actually!
After learning that Sean wasn't the asshole she thought he was, Jessica's day had gotten loads better. She had heard through the grapevine that both Chris and Greg had healed ahead of tonight's game and were back on the squad. Since Chris was Tiff's boyfriend and Greg had been sniffing around looking for a date with Sam, she was happy for both of her friends.
Her nagging arousal did little to distract her, if anything it helped keep her peppy and flirty as she kept up the cheerleader persona and inspired her creativity in ways she hadn't expected it to today. She had been asked to the dance by fourteen different guys and had (gently) turned them all down. She was waiting for Brad to ask her. It was pretty late in the game, but she was sure Mr. 'Thundercock' would pull through as he always did.
"Maybe that thick member he keeps bragging about will actually push me over the edge," the horny young blonde thought as she waited in line for lunch.
Just as she sat down, and was waiting for her friends to arrive, her phone chirped and she smiled when she saw it was Sean. Her thighs reflexively squeezed together, but she ignored that and read what he had wrote, "I was thinking about your paper on the Himalayas; Do you want me to request that special delivery to the peak of Everest for you?"
Jess laughed and snorted softly, just as Sam sat down, "Whoa Jess! You only ever laugh like that when you're laughing for real!"
The captain of the squad blushed and shook her head, "Yeah, it's just a funny inside thing." Jess waved her hand dismissively, and put her phone away before she caught the meaning and smiled, thinking, Well, a wish could do it... but I like how peppy I am today.
She fished her phone back out and sent back a polite, "No, thank you." with a winky-heartface emoji.
She heard Sean's text tone from across the room and saw that he was headed her way with his tray of food. She watched as he sat down across the table from her and could tell something was wrong. Both her and Sam looked over to him, and she asked, "Is everything OK Sean?"
"Yeah," he sighed, and then scowled as Chris and Greg approached hooting and hollering about being, "Back BABAY!" to the girls and Sean.
Greg sat down next to him and shoulder bumped him, saying clearly, "Coach stopped us a minute ago and told us how graciously you stepped aside. Thanks, man."
Sean nodded and looked to Jessica as his face got hot, and he reluctantly took the hand of one of his tormentors. For his first day at the popular table, Sean was pretty quiet. He participated when he was addressed directly, but when a good setup for a pun had arisen, everyone looked to Sean, he just chuckled and said that he wasn't feeling the greatest.
When lunch was over Sean quietly got up from the table, his mood improved a bit, but no where near happy. As he emptied his tray and headed towards the library to spend recess studying for his calculus test, he put his hands in his jeans pocket and scuffed a few steps and felt a soft, feminine arm slip into his as a familiar voice said, "Mind if I join you for awhile?"
Whose arm is it?
