Matt finished his homework, did some pushups, and went for a jog before Amy stopped by to pick him up.

He was hungry but Amy said she'd already eaten so he resolved to keep his hunger in check... after all, he was pretty much always hungry.

She'd changed into what she probably considered 'date material,' i.e., a short skirt and a peasant blouse that was cut low in front. She didn't have a whole lot in the front department but what she had was certainly nicely shaped. Although Matt would never say it out loud, he thought Amy was smart to attract attention to something below her face... at least until she underwent her plastic surgery.

There was the usual crowd of bored teens hanging out at the deli including Cassandra, who was smoking a cigarette on a bench outside and Tanya, who opened the door just as Matt and Amy reached it.

Matt nodded at Cassandra then grabbed the door from Tanya and gave her a cheery hello.

She looked at him like he was shit sticking to her shoe, then twisted her gaze to check who he was with.

"That's it? You went for horse-face?"

Amy sniffled, her chin wobbling, tears welling in her eyes.

"Hey," Matt said. "Don't be a bitch."

"What did you call me?"

"I didn't call you anything. I called the way you are acting being a bitch."

"You really believe in living dangerously, don't you?"

"Come on, Tanya. I know you can be nice."

"I can be but I'm not sure I'm willing to work that hard. See you later, Matt." She headed for her car without even giving Amy a second look.

"I think I want to go home now," Amy said.
