Swimming in the fishing pond

It was a hot summer afternoon in the middle of Bluesea Moon. The normal hustle and bustle of the monastery was replaced by a laid back atmosphere as all the residents tried to beat the heat. While many were still getting lunch in the dining hall, Flayn decided to cool off by taking a dip in the fishing pond.

She left her room and headed toward the dock. She didn’t bring a towel or anything with her as she figured she could just dry off with a relaxing sunbathe after her swim. There wasn’t anyone else there today, which wasn’t surprising to her. Bathing suits were a rare commodity at the monastery as most merchants that visited would only bring necessities like food or weaponry. There were a few foreign traders that brought commodities like hobby tools and confectionaries, but the church was so far from the ocean that none bothered to sell swimming attire. It was only after some begging to Seteth that Flayn would receive a swimsuit for her last birthday.

She had heard that Fódlan citizens living out in the country would often swim nude, but Flayn couldn’t even imagine doing something so indecent. Thankfully, Flayn’s swimsuit was more than modest enough for her tastes. It was a green full-body suit with light green stripes, it covered her from the neck down to her knees, though it left her arms bare.

Without further ado, Flayn leapt off the dock into the water. It was just as cool and refreshing as she hoped it was. She spent quite a while swimming throughout the pond whether it be searching for secrets, seeing how deep she could dive, or even trying to catch fish with her bare hands. She was having so much fun that she soon lost track of time.
