Cupid's arrows, and their rules

My arrows are vessels of my power, plain and simple. If one possesses one, one possesses that portion of my power. When they are used, that power is expended, and it's effects are permanent, provided I don't take enough of an interest to step in and remove them.

What effects might those be you ask? It's quite simple really. A set of rules, strictly enforced, as they pertain to you.

One: When you strike another with my arrow, piercing their skin, you two are linked.

Two: The person you strike will feel intense pain when they attempt to think unkind, hateful, or negative thoughts about you.

Three: If the person you strike has not been within your close proximity for a period of eight hours, they will begin to feel less intense pain that will grow within them at a linear rate until they are once more in your proximity.

Four: These pain will never cause the person you strike to lose consciousness, there will be no escape into the void for them.

Five: The arrow can only be used once. If you attempt to strike a second person, it will have no effect beyond that of it's mundane equivalent.

Six: These effects will not occur to you unless you are struck by another arrow, even if you are struck with the same arrow that you had used previously.

Seven: These effects are permanent.
