His mom is acting weird

Matt was heading into his bedroom, AKA the laundry room when his mom stopped him. "Matt, I need to talk to you."

"Sure, what's up?"

"Would you say that I'm an attractive woman?"

"I'm serious, Matt. Don't patronize me."

"I don't know what you want me to say, mom. You look like an older version of Karen and Karen is super-pretty."

"You know your father and I have been having problems. It's like he doesn't even look at me any more."

"It's not because you're not pretty, mom. You've both been working so hard to pay the rent on this place you probably just haven't seen enough of each other and you're probably both so tired when you get home from work that you don't think of romance first thing."

She shook her head. "This was going on long before we moved here."

He sighed. What was he supposed to do? He'd tried to humor her and cheer her up but she hadn't responded. Telling her that her dad wasn't interested because he had a flock of other women sending him nude pictures and going out to get drunk with him probably wouldn't do the job either.

"Maybe you're being too fuddy-duddy for him. Maybe if you wore some of Karen's outfits, showed a little more leg, a little cleavage, you'd get his attention." Or maybe she'd get attention from other guys that would compensate for the lack of attention she got from her husband.

"Do you really think that's it?"

He shrugged. "I don't know, mom. Talk to Karen. She can help you look more sexy if you want. I'm not really into female fashions."

"But you are a male. And it's men I'm interested in.... I mean, one man in particular, of course. Your father."

"Sure, mom. How about this. When you have an idea of something you think would be sexy, you model it for me and I'll tell you if I find it attractive or not. I promise I can be objective, seeing you as a woman rather than as my mother."

"You're a good son, Matt. Thank you."
