Pam had an unusual request

Cindi hopped out of the car when her mother pulled into the roundabout. "See you in class, Matt."

"Sure, Cindi."

Pam had gotten out also and grabbed him by the arm. "Listen, Matt. Are you and Cindi exclusive?"

"Huh? We're not even dating."

"Ah. Well, you might explain that to her. Anyway, if you're not exclusive, I have a sort of strange request."

"I'm listening."

"Think you could fake being in college for a couple of hours this weekend?"

"Sure. What's up?"

"One of my supposed friends has been ragging on me about not having a boyfriend. She's having a party Saturday. If I brought a boyfriend, she'd get off my case."

"You don't have a boyfriend."

"So I'm a loser. Give me a break."

"I don't think you're a loser. I just think it's strange that a girl as beautiful as you doesn't have a boyfriend."

"Well, I'll have a pretend one if you go to the party with me. But no making out with the other girls. That would sort of defeat the purpose."

"What about making out with you."

She blushed. "That we'll play by ear. So, are you in?"

Mrs. Phuan honked the car horn. "Come on, Pam. You've got kung fu lessons."
