Chapter 27 by ARavingLooony ARavingLooony

"Woof! Woof!" Aedan heard the unmistakable sound of his mabari bark almost happily as Dane ran to Aedan happily to see that his master was once again still alive as the soon to be Warden knelt down and allowed his mabari to lick his face in reassurance and wiped Dane's saliva off his face before rising, a small smile adorned Duncan's face, whether at the display of affection the mabari was showing Aedan or that the recruits were all still alive Aedan didn't know.

Darkness had begun to cover Thedas and as a result night was upon them and upon re-entering Ostagar did Aedan's thoughts linger on Wynne and her no doubt large breast's. It was night and the buxom elder woman had promised him some action 'later on' and it seemed most of the residents of the ruin-turned-makeshift warcamp were resting in their tent's.

"Ah, it is good to see you all alive and well" Duncan eyed the bunched up scroll's that Aedan kept in his left arm, his shield resting on his back and sword which had since been cleansed of darkspawn blood in its sheath.

"And here are the scroll's you wished for, Duncan" Aedan said handing the scroll's to Duncan which he graciously accepted "and the darkspawn blood" Aedan added and handed his vial of sealed darkspawn blood over to Duncan to which Ser Jory and Daveth both handed theirs over too.

"Much appreciated" Duncan nodded as he collected each of the three filled vial's.

"You three are ready to undergo the Joining once it is prepared" Duncan turned to Alistair "you did good work, Alistair"

The blonde Warden smiled "they're good enough fighter's to join, that much I assure you"

"Are you going to tell them about the apostate's?" Ser Jory asked Aedan expectantly.

"Oh, right" Aedan remembered "we encountered two apostate's in the wilds, one of them was who returned the scroll's to us" he informed.

Duncan frowned "were they wilder folk?"

Aedan merely shrugged "I dont know. All I know is that one of them; the mother of the younger apostate claimed that the Blight is bigger than you realised"

Duncan thought for a minute "concern's of unaccounted mages are of no concern of ours. That belongs to the Templar's. Now that everything is ready Alistair take them to the Old Temple"
