Do you chat with her or try to go back?
Chat.(Library path needed)
"Everything alright, Agathe?" you ask, in your broken mangling of her language.
She turns startled, almost dropping her e-cigarette. "Oh! I didn't see you there," she coughs, patting her chest. "I didn't know you could speak our language. I can see why they sent you."
It takes you a bit of time to translate that, and you're sure you have a stupid look on your face while you do so. "Not well, just a small counting of it. Still learning," you reply with a shrug.
Agathe smiles broadly and kisses you on both cheeks. You're taken aback at how forward she is, but she just puts a hand on your shoulder. "Good time to practice then. How was your flight?" she says, slowly and clearly, enunciating every syllable. The two of you exchange a few lines before having to go back to the meeting room. On the way there, she points out and corrects your mistakes, and teaches you how to properly roll your R's.
The rest of the debriefing goes relatively smoothly, but you do notice however, that Agathe is a little nervous and is constantly flicking her eyes from Dominique, to your team and back again. The fatigue is starting to get to Terrence and Gus too, and they are trying their best to cover up their yawns. "I think we've all got the gist of it, Terrence," Dominique says, "Let's pick up the rest of it tomorrow and see how our facilities can accommodate you. And, as your hosts, we're inviting you all to dinner later tonight. Nothing serious, it's casual. I'll make the arrangements and by the time you get back to your hotel, I'll have sent you the details."
"Much obliged, Ms. Dominique, much obliged." he replies, cracking his neck loudly. "Those long haul flights really take it out of you, and that airline food? Cardboard has more flavor."
"Well, that's because you flew on your airline," she counters, putting her notebook away. "If you flew with our national airline, you'd be singing a different tune." They keep up this playful, almost flirtatious banter all the way until your cab comes around. Telling them "Goodbye" in their language, you all make your way back to your hotel for a shower and quick nap before getting ready for dinner.
