A control screen... with lots of errors

Jack's eyes are assailed with dozens of windows, spilling out information all at once. Some of them just seem to be bootup processes, and quickly vanish. Others linger, but are indecipherable. The ones that catch his eye are front and center on the screen, each with a large ERROR title at the top of the menu. He read them slowly, and deliberately from most recent back.

ERROR: Reconnected ENIGMA MATRIX (2) (5) sync failed. Wave cache for ENIGMA MATRIX (2) (5) corrupted.

ERROR: Connection to ENIGMA MATRIX (2) (3) (5) lost.

ERROR: Unknown Wave Frequency. 3/12/20 18.32.12

Jack furrowed his brow. That was yesterday, around the time he first met Brenda.

There were more errors like this. Dozens, maybe hundreds. He clicked through the windows more quickly, trying to reveal the main User Interface below. One final error caught his eye though. It was for months ago, and announced a Critical Crystal Desync, and stated that a system reboot was necessary, so naturally when he reached the main menu, he rebooted.

The gun sparked, popped, and Jack winced, but when the screen returned to his computer, he was greeted with a clean menu structure, and no more error message. A simple message appeared at the bottom of the screen.

System Restored. Wave Cache dumped. ENIGMA MATRIX re synced. ENIGMA MATRIX (2) (5) nonoperational.
Insufficient EM May lead to unpredictable outcomes and limited daily charges.

Jack leaned back and sighed. He knew something had been fishy. This wasn't a toy, and this interface definitely proved it. He also doubted that Brenda actually got braces. He'd seen the events of the previous night unfold, he just hadn't believed them... Things like magic guns that swap assets with people don't exist... Or at least, he didn't think they existed. He was starting to wonder.

He continued to look through the interface, and found a series of fields identified in the menu. (ADMIN) This only had one name in it. "PAT"
USERS had a few more names including AMY, JACK, and BRENDA. While Targets had two names. BRENDA, and TERRY.
