He decided to take a leap of faith. He'd figure something out. The only idea he had any chance of success in was risky. He logged into his work account and submitted a request for some of the ingredient, as a research for a potential new product. He had no idea what to put down.
He also hoped no one would think anything of it, though the chances of that were slim. An engineer requesting something for r&d was strange enough, but a learning chemical? And without explanation? Someone would be asking questions.
She trilled at him from the tub, and he came back over. She'd already added an extra tally mark, and had drawn a helmet with tubes going into it. She'd also drawn a bunch of pads stuck to the little head she'd doodled. What in the world did she intend to make?
He spent the next few hours going over words with her, until eventually he fell asleep before he realized it.
