I blinked, and struggled to get the memory of the sauna out of my head. “303.” he said, and I nodded, and guided him to the elevator, and up to 303, where I found a very pretty girl sobbing in front of the door.

“Excuse me?” I asked, and she looked up. Then her eyes took in the boy. She stood up and threw herself at me.

“God, Michael, never do that again.” the girl said, and opened the door for him to go inside.

“Can I watch TV?” the boy, Michael, asked. The girl nodded. Michael broke out in a grin and rushed inside. The girl turned to me.

“Thank you so much, really. I can never repay you. The Williams’ are my top customers, and if I lost their son, not only would I be out of a career, I’d feel horrible, as I know them really well.” the girl said, and hugged me firmly. “What I’m saying, is I’m 504. Maybe you can stop by and we can go grab some lunch one day. I never have babysitting work until four in the afternoon.” Jana asked me hopefully. I smiled.

“I’ll be there.” I said. She gave me a radiant smile, and a quick hug before going inside. “True.”. Aphrodite tucked back some loose hair.

“You know, there’s a party down at the lounge later tonight. It’s for the younger portion of the apartments, so if you want to come, feel free.” Aphrodite said shyly.

“Sure. What time?” I asked.

“It starts at 7. They can last until 11, or 4 in the morning.” Aphrodite shrugged.

“I’ll be there.” I said, and Aphrodite smiled.

As I was taking the elevator down, my phone buzzed with a text from Emily.

‘Hannah can’t make dinner tonight. She has a business prospect. She’s super sorry!’

‘No problem. Hey, any chance you’re going to the party at the lounge?’

‘Um, I wasn’t going to go, but I might go if you’re going. I’m not really a party girl.’

‘That’s fine. Don’t feel pressured, I was just wondering.’

‘Ok, I’m not going to go, then. But, tomorrow night is movie night. Lawrence always goes to bed early that night, and me and Hannah watch movies. It might be good for my boyfriend to get to know my sister.’

‘You called me your boyfriend... not complaining, very happy, actually.’

‘I slipped, but that’s good. So... are we official now?’

‘Before we do, I have a small thing to say. Most of the girls in this apartment building I’ve met have flirted with me, like, a lot. Am I allowed to keep flirting back?’
