Solve the immediate threat

Albeit Ryu's rash actions managed to get the rear working again, there was no denying they were still outnumbered ten to three.
Fira's situation was unclear, but was there any point in thinking about that when their own troubles were now standing back up after Ryu smashed them away?

Believing the knight could take care of herself, the guy prepared to defend the casters behind him from those babooches about to throw themselves on them.

The one who got his head smashed him seemed to be down for the count, whereas the others only seemed to have minor degree of injuries as they prepared to lounge again... and holding back nine monkeys at the same time wouldn't be easy, especially with those pests surrounding them.

Well, at least Lia was worth her title as mage as she immediately casted a few wind blades, shearing the three babooches jumping at her in half and bringing down their numbers to six... it reduced the pressure, but not relieved it.
Ryu on his side had repelled his own wave of three wish his shield and even managed to bash another's head in as it jumped at Nia, whereas the elf herself shooed away a babooch by swinging her staff... too bad the other one grabbed it, and now was playing tug of war with the priestess in order to steal her weapon.

The first **** was prevented with four ko on the babooches side, three killed by Lia and one downed by Ryu, but the second wave was now coming for them.

While Ryu was busy fending off his own share of monkeys, the babooch Nia previously shooed away used the opening created by his pal pulling the staff to jump towards the elf, most likely intent on clinging to her like a koala and share an heated kiss... too bad for him that Lia was now free, and had enough time to cast another wind blade at his face.

With him down, the one pulling the staff was next and then they quickly cleaned up the ones bogging Ryu down.
Like so, ten babooches were solved. Now, to help Fira...
