Round 1- fight!

This time Katie came out swinging. Sydney, a little shocked by her aggression, raised her hands over her face and backed away as blows rained on her forearms. Sydney was taller, and needed distance to use her kicks which were her greatest weapon. Katie was smaller but faster and had greater endurance. Katie intended to widdle her target down, finding holes in her guard and getting in as many strikes as possible.

A minute passed without either girl landing a solid blow. Then Katie managed to slip a hook into Sydney's guard, catching her on the side of the head. As Sydney stumbled back, Katie gave a push kick, knocking the wind out of her as she slammed into the chain cage. Sydney pressed her hands to her face as Katie attacked, raining blows that bounced Sydney against the chain cage wildly. She pounded Sydney's ribs and managed a few shots to her stomach, causing her to double over.

Sydney felt her knees weakening. She was about to go down when the bell rang, saving her at the last second. The ref separated them, pushing each girl back to her corner. Sydney struggled to walk away as Katie danced in place, barely winded.

"You've got her Katie!" Her coach yelled. "Keep the pressure up and she'll drop next round!"

Sydney struggled to catch her breath. She just had to last long enough for their mischief to work it's magic...
