Lea sighed in relief. Until the last moment, she had thought someone would get to buy this property before her. Since her name was starting to get bigger in Hollywood, with her staring in the latest James Bond movies, she had decided to purchase a new house in the area, just to be more available for movie producers and directors.

The house she had decided to take was a large Victorian-type mansion, and it was actually surprisingly cheap.

-Thank you, she said, grabbing the keys.

-You'll like it here. This home has a very rich history you know. It used to belong to one of the richest and most influential families of this town in the 19th century. Unfortunately, the last member of this family passed away without a heir, which is why this house has been for sale ever since.

Lea nodded politely, waiting for this man to leave so she could enjoy a quiet moment in her new home.

Later that day, she was in her new bedroom, preparing to sleep for her first night in her house. Her boyfriend, Andre, was still in France, but he already had his tickets to join her in a couple of weeks. After a couple of minutes trying to read a book in her bed, she realized she was too tired to read, and decided to sleep. The bed was really comfortable, and she was going to have a lovely night.
