Question her

"I'll ask the questions," you say calmly, after seeing that Enigma's repeated attempts to get closer to you fail.

"..." Enigma doesn't say anything immediately as she stands still. It's too dark to make out her features, but she must be deep in thought. "You're John Colins," she finally says, deducing your name.

"Impressive. Yes. Yes, I am," you say.

"You were warned to disappear and stop using your abilities," Enigma growls. Her voice is deep and husky, and you must admit you're slightly turned on.

"I did disappear, but not because I was following Alpha's threat. I just needed some time to gather my facts and learn more about you all. And now, you're going to answer my questions."

"Good luck with that. I'm just going to leave and-"

"No. You're not going anywhere. Stay where you are and answer my questions," you command. Enigma's upper half of her body jerks a little as she tries to leave, but her feet are rooted to the ground by the power of your mind control.

"Do you have a name?" you ask.

"Enigma," Enigma answers.

"No real name?"

"Enigma is my real name. This is not some comic book. People like us don't live double lives," Enigma explains. She sounds irritated, but she has to answer you anyway.

"Interesting... So is Wonder Woman based on you?"

"... I guess she is."

"Where are the other people like you? Where's Alpha?" you ask.

"I don't know. Alpha usually stays around New York. The others vary."

"How do you get in touch with them?"

"Phone."

"Phone?" you ask incredulously. You would have thought their method of communication would be more sophisticated.

"Yeah, phone," Enigma says sarcastically. "Like I said, this isn't some comic book. Phones are practical and useful, that's why they were invented. Enough of this. What do you want? There are people still trapped in the tunnel!"

You chuckle and activate your magic ring to stop time. Then, you teleport into the train stuck into the tunnel and begin the process of bringing the passengers out 1 at a time, until the entire train is evacuated to just outside the mountain and not a far distance behind Enigma. When you're finished, you return to your spot in front of Enigma and let time resume. Enigma turns her head the moment she hears the relieved voices of the passengers behind her.

When she turns back, you say, "There. No harm to them. The police will be here soon. I didn't intend to harm anyone, but I needed you to show up for something that would require your abilities."

"...what do you want?"

"Well, I want you to call Alpha off, for starters," you say.

"I can't do that. He doesn't take orders from me."

"Do you take orders from him?"

When Enigma doesn't answer, you assume her non-denial is enough.

"Wouldn't you like to be in charge?" you ask.

"He's more powerful than I am. And the rest, they listen to him."

"Does he have a weakness?"

"You mean like Kryptonite? Again, you're getting comic books mixed up with real life. He has no weakness. Seriously, there's nothing you or I can do about him. Okay, I've told you a lot already. Are we done here?" she asks impatiently.
