Infiltrate the Justice Society

Steppenwolf waited for Fury to be clothed again before he gave her the orders that he believed would best serve her. The entire nation of Dherain had been destroyed by Brutaal, along with every possible advantage that having such a beachhead could have served Steppenwolf. It had been a mistake to fake his own **** and allow Brutaal to rule, but he needed a public face to ward off threats against his person and none at the time had seemed more perfect than that demented fool had.

"I need you to join this new Justice Society," said Steppenwolf. "Brutaal ripped the arm off of Al Pratt, the sizeshifting soldier in the Sandmen that they called the Atom and the Parademons killed Connor Hawke, the Red Arrow of the Sandmen. Both were likely candidates to this organization. That means that it could be filled up with at least two other members, one of whom will be you."

"And the other?" asked Fury.

"Your mother and grandmother were not the only Amazons to have children with outsiders," said Steppenwolf. "The splinter group, the Amazons of Bana-Mighdall, broke off from Amazonia during the reign of Hippolyta. One of the Amazons there had a child with a human male of Taiwanese origin."

"Who is this child?"

"Grace Choi, a half-Amazon who should be easy to manipulate," said Steppenwolf. "You can join the Justice Society and find her, or find her first and then join the wonders."

"What is my purpose among the wonders?"

"Corrupt them from within," said Steppenwolf. "From my analysis, the Green Lantern will be the hardest to corrupt. Past him, Wesley Dodds is a steadfast soldier loyal to his doctrine. The Flash, however, has a childish innocence that once crushed will give way to darkness. Hawkgirl is already on the path to corruption. The others, do as you wish."

"I feel that Big Barda would be better suited for infiltration than this Grace Choi," said Fury. "Besides, keeping her near the Highfather's son will only expedite the rate at which he breaks free of Bedlam's control."

"You think such a thing is possible?"

"It's what he does."

"I will take it into consideration," said Steppenwolf. "I would advise you to take into consideration to adopt your mother's mantle: the Wonder Woman. It will make you the single most identifiable member of their group and the most capable of manipulating the masses."

"I expect this cover will last longer than your rule over Dherain," said Fury. "Be aware, father, that this means I will have to fight alongside them. If I perish fighting a threat like Grundy, then your plans crumble."

"Grundy is on the moon, whoever hired Wotan is the greater concern," said Steppenwolf, scratching his goatee. "Regardless, go now, start your mission."
