As your aunt walks in your mother goes into welcome mode, "Ava how are you doing, come in please, we have coffee on the go, so Ava what brings you round we have hardly seen you since all this started". Aunt Ava simply points to the bag, "Veronica I came round to drop of a few things for you all to protect you all, the infected men are entering town in greater numbers, we just had to flush one out of a house it was hiding in and that was not fun, it is possible more of them are in town now hiding in closed up stores or houses and will emerge after dark.

Putting her bag on the kitchen table she opens it up and pulls out a towel then proceeds to take out a number of firearms, a few pistols, two shotguns and a unassembled rifle. "Ava why do we need all these guns, if more of the infected men come we can just stay out of the way and call the sheriff can't we or is it really that bad". Your mom is getting worried now, but with how she asked that question you get the idea something else is going on to be fair this is not giving you any happy ideas too.

Aunt Ava lays it out on what she knows, " if the infected men come in the same numbers as last night from more then one direction or we do not get lucky and find them in a less easy to deal with position they will tear into a house like this in seconds and unless you can fight then off you and Melisa are fucked literally and Timothy is dead so we are not going to take any chances you know how to use these Veronica and were are my brothers guns I know he still hunted every now and then". Piping up you point to a door , "Aunt Ava I got them out last night the rifle has been cleaned and is ready to go but we have only eight rounds and the shotgun is busted, we have 20 shells for a shotgun but they are just birdshot so mostly useless if last nights display is normal for all infected dudes and when did mom learn to shot any way".

Ignoring you last point Ava begins to explain things in more detail about what it takes to bring a freak down in a way that is as fast as possible. "That is true 9mm takes four to five rounds to kill one quickly otherwise you have to wait for them to bleed out .45 is the best round only take two shots to the chest on average, now for the shotgun we will be using standard police issue rounds just keep firing till they drop, and the rifle well anything is good for that as long as you hit your target dead centre and its not .22"

After helping you set everything up your aunt promises to return tomorrow and take you all to the back of the Sheriffs station for some target practice, telling you to only use the shotguns she brought with her till then but gives your mom a strange look. Picking up your dads shotgun Aunt Ava stows it in the bag, "I have to get going its getting dark now and I need to be out on patrol, bye now". Kissing you on the check and hugging your mom and Melisa she gets in her 4x4 and leaves. "Right Timothy get the camping beds in the loft now turn off all the lights we stay in the loft till the morning low light only and we will load the shotguns up there but for now I will get the hand guns ready". Agreeing with your mom, but wondering just when she got so good at handling firearms she normally let your dad do that kind of thing, you shift the stuff into the loft quickly, Melisa passing stuff up to you along with some food, water, radio and a bucket that you do not want to have to use, the three of you bunk down for the night and try to get some sleep.
