Aunt Ava

Deputy Dizzy Boch picks up the body in the yard and leaves for this pick up point, what ever the hell that is, Doctor Morris takes Kylie to the medical centre to run some tests and the Sheriff returns to the station to fill out paper work. This ends up leaving just you and your aunt who has to wait for the undertake to come and get the body of Kieran, while you wait your Aunt gives you a look you know all to well from when you used to get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. "So Timothy want to fill me in on what the hell is going on with you, I have read all the information on the virus and you should be dead or a submissive pussy who could not even look me in the eye let alone talk back to someone in power".

Shit me and my big mouth you think, but also why is your aunt here, "well I will tell you if you tell me why you are hear in town and not at the base Aunt Ava". The smile she gives you is a cold one, "my answer is simple, I was on leave and coming home to visit you and your sister when this virus hit and I got stuck in town due to the quarantine. Due to my training and just how fucked up things have gotten in the towns a Presidential order was given to all Military personal not currently at their official post to report to local authorities for assignment in these troubling times, so I have been assigned as help to local police forces, so spill".

You procced to give her the full info on what has happened and she just pats you on the shoulder when you get to the part about why the doctor is covering things up. "Timothy I will be honest what she is doing is the right thing as the people who are in charge are dangerous at the moment and .....".

Before she can finish her radio goes off as a panicked Dizzy is on the horn, "Sheriff we have big trouble I am on the junction of 5th and 6th street and have over a dozen freaks heading my way they look pissed and I need help NOW". Your Aunt is already moving towards her 4X4, "shit get back in your house Timothy and hide, do you still have your fathers shotgun if you do get it and load it".

Ava gets in the 4x4 and tears off towards 5th street, you run back into your house lock the door and kill the lights then head upstairs and join your mom and sister in the attic, only coming down in the morning after the all clear is given by the Sheriff once first light is fully over.

Coming down stairs you find your Aunt sitting outside in her 4x4 looking tired, your mother invites her in for breakfast and Ava proceeds to tell you of the running gun fight on 5th street, they put down over a dozen more of infected men, she also tells you to report to the Sheriffs office to give a statement about last night and will give you a lift after food and coffee. As you Aunt demolishes breakfast you have to ask a question, " Aunt Ava why is the Sheriff so upset about the infected males and not been able to help infected people, she seemed really upset last night but it felt more then just that to me".

Putting her knife and fork down your Aunt seems to be debating on telling you something but then just shrugs, "Timothy when the infected alphas, primal or freaks what ever you want to call them, we just call them freaks now, first found the town they hit a farm on the out skirts of town the Peplums place, they killed the husband and **** the wife and daughter. Who at that point had not caught the virus, both the mother and daughter are now in the care centre on the south side of town as they have lost the ability to look after themselves without help due to contracting the alpha version and they are not the only ones, this has her angry . But it really boils down to her own family, her husband caught the virus and died from it her twins also caught it and they too are in the care centre. I think she is only carrying on because of her job without it I fear what she would have done, either taking her own life or finding a freak and letting it have its way with her as yes that is a thing".

Hearing that you can now see why the Sheriff was so put out and also why she was giving you such funny looks after finding out what you are now or are not you guess.
