What's next?
The Next day
Kara was dressed in fairly normal class wear (Leggings, boots, and an oversized sweater) as she made her way into the lecture for business law. As expected, the news headlines had made note of her getting into a car crash that night. A few had asked if she was the drunk driver. Kara took a seat in the hall and opened up her note book.
“You look pretty good for getting in a wreck last night,” a girl said taking a seat near Kara.
“If I hadn’t been buckled up in the racing seat I would have been sent to the hospital,” Kara admitted, “You know the super fancy seats and seatbelt set ups that the race car drivers get out of horrific car crashes unharmed by? Bruce put a pair of those in the car.”
“Hay, miss carwreck!” a guy said as he came over and took a seat near Kara.
“Har, Har,” Kara gave the guy as sour look.
“Did you hear about the Dragula sighting last night?” the young man continued, “Vicki on the news got a clip of it!”
“I don’t get it,” the other girl said, “Dragula has always been a ghost car, why be so public last night?”
“I bet you the Robin Hood that runs with the Gargoyles stole Dragula and took it for a joy ride!” the young man said.
“You know how crazy that makes you sound?” Kara said.
“What?” the guy responded, “You have a better idea?”
“Tact,” Kara said, “You might be right, but if you sound like Alex Jones ripping his shirt off, nobody takes you serious because you sound crazy.”
“She has a point,” the other girl said.
“How about this,” Kara said before taking a deep breath, “The vigilantes commonly called ‘the Gargoyles’ are known to have a young male as a group member… The most reasonable possibility is that the young male was operating the vehicle and as such was not taking security as seriously as other members of the vigilantes would. Young Men are statistically more likely to engage in risky behaviors after all.”
“She said it better,” the other girl said shaking her head.
“Well, it was still my idea,” the guy said.
“Just make sure you don’t sound like Alex Jones when you tell people,” Kara smiled, “And pleas keep your shirt on.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” the guy said, “Here comes the teach.”

“I said naked,” Kara shouted without looking at Raven, “Ditch t-shirt and panties. It is a laser scanner, you need to be naked.”
“Fine!” Raven said from behind the curtain.
Kara snuck a peak as Raven came back out completely naked this time and covering herself with her hands.
“Step in the booth and follow the pose instructions on the screen,” Kara said, “I have to do this every so often to make sure I have the right sizes when I wear out my suit.”
“Right,” Raven moaned as she went into the booth.
Kara watched the readouts, despite concerns, there were no cameras inside the booth so no one was taking pictures of the person inside. Kara knew that leaking the scanning sessions of either her or Bruce could make her billions, she had more respect than that.
“One more pose to go,” Kara said as she saw the readout display measurement numbers.
Kara smiled and grabbed a bathrobe. She went over and tossed it in to Raven without looking inside.
“Come on,” Kara said.
“Where was this when I needed it?” Raven shouted.
“Didn’t want you trying to get away with wearing it and screwing up the scans,” Kara said, “Get dressed and let’s go talk to Lucius.”
*
“Hay Bruce,” Kara said as she came out of the elevator.
“… Kara was spotted out shopping with her ‘black metal Anna’ today. Still no word on who this ‘little sister’ actually is…” Bruce read aloud from the monitor.
“Ah…” Raven stammered, a bit intimidated.
“You should be proud of…” Bruce started as he turned to look at the two girls, “…yourselves. Oh, boy.”
Kara and Raven stood next to each other in matching black vinyl jeans, black tank tops, black knee boots, and black sun hats. Bruce put his face in the palm of his hands.
“Is it…” Raven started.
Her emberacement was palpable for even non-empaths.
“Did you pick that outfit out Miss Roth?” Bruce asked.
“Yes?” Raven said unsure if telling the truth was the best idea.
“Well it looks nice on you…” Bruce took a deep breath, “So you had to steal her style Kara?”
“I am taking her shopping with me all the time now,” Kara beamed as she thumbed towards Raven, “I can’t wait to see what she comes up with at Freaks of Gotham!”
“NO!” Batman snapped, “She is not old enough for that level of depravity Kara.”
“I was fifteen when I got my first latex catsuit,” Kara said.
Bruce glared at Kara.
“And you still hold it against Selina and she still holds that over you…” Kara cooled down her tone, “Right. Sorry Rea. No Latex this weekend.”
“That’s ok.”
Bruce smiled at the younger girl.
“Miss Roth, you look nice. I am sure your gear will look nice too once it’s finished. I am sure you will make us all proud,” Bruce said trying to reassure the shy girl.
“She is going to be ready to rock and roll,” Kara put an arm around Raven.
“I am sure you already showed off in front of Jason,” Bruce stated.
“He liked it,” Raven smiled, “Said I looked cute.”
“Well I am sure Alfred is already planning for you to have dinner with us,” Bruce said, “I know Jason probably wants to talk to you.”
“Ok,” Raven said before looking at Kara.
“We’ll be up in a minute,” Kara winked.
Raven walked back to the elevator as Kara and Bruce watched her waiting for the elevator to go back up to the manor proper.
“This is where you yell at me?” Kara asked.
“Actually no. But there was something else I wanted to talk to you about before dinner,” Bruce said calmly.
“What?” Kara said.
“No, this Saturday Knox is doing a tour of the Manor,” Bruce said, “The expectation is that he will see us as we are and being fairly normal.”
“Soo…” Kara tried to get the rest of it out of Bruce.
“As the expression goes, be yourself…” Bruce leaned back and put his hands together in front of him, “Just leave the rubber in your closet for the day, please? There are enough questions when you go out with your Gotham Goth Girls as it is.”
“Ok,” Kara admitted, “The catsuit got a little too much attention from child protective services. But other than that, don’t do anything too ‘Batty’ around the ‘Vampire hunter’?”
“He isn’t Vicki Vale or anything,” Bruce said, “But he is one of the ones hell bent on outing the ‘Gargoyles’ for who we really are instead of tossing the talk into the rubbish bin as a conspiracy theory.”
“Ok,” Kara said, “Any word on miss Rose?”
“She is taking a flight from Chicago to Hartford tomorrow morning,” Bruce said, “If she is on the flight she will met at the Air Port by Helen and driven down to Gotham that evening. I am sure the other Titan wanna-be’s will swarm her.”
Kara let out a laugh remembering Jason’s complaints about the Gotham Academy students testing him when he enrolled.
“There was something else…” Bruce said, “What did she choose?”
“She wanted sweater dresses and Legging sets like I wear, some jean and T-shirt outfits, a nice winter jacket, hot pants to tease Jason with…” Kara started rattling off the shopping trip and noticed Bruce scowl, “You mean for evening attire…”
“Yes.”
“New Moon Blue batsuit, knee boots, gloves, and a fire proof hooded cloak,” Kara said, “Nothing too incredible. I did put in an order for her to get an armor-prene dive suit just in case. She is too shy to go rocking and rolling in a cheerleader outfit for now.”
“Yes Miss M’orzz,” Bruce noted, “They do get along and she does seem to be a positive influence on Miss Roth.”
“Yeah,” Kara said, “What else were you working on down here?”
Bruce closed the Celebrity gossip blog and two files were up.
“The Phantasm and Azrael?” Kara said.
“The Angels of Doom and Judgement,” Bruce intoned.
“Been a hot minute since Andrea came back to Gotham,” Kara crossed her arms in front of her chest, “What has she been up to?”
Bruce clicked on tab for the web browser and a news article came up.
“They nearly killed each other in Rio,” Bruce breathed.
“And?” Kara asked.
“That’s all we know for now,” Bruce breathed.
